Hi guys

I did a 08 Toyota sequoia. And I followed tachosoft calc and when I put the dash back new mileage shows fine but when i drive the mileage does not change it's stuck on the new number.

Any one know what this can be?

Thanks

If its the Standard Toyota X17..then change last two or three intances to -1 in hex

2008 Sequoia has 93C66 mate,
and the problem is not about the bad eeprom file, if the file is bad, the mileage will flash
his real problem after changing mileage is that the trip odo has run but the odo mileage has freeze and not counting
this problem is about the synchronization of mileage from address 00h to 021h and 022h to 043h,
I have explain this a long time ago and many times on the other forum (odometer-correction)

Thank you for your help, but reason i did not post the dump because I came on with my cell phone and I was not at my work place to place the dump.... Thats the reason I could not post the dump.

But thank you for trying to help.

Thanks

If its the Standard Toyota X17..then change last two or three intances to -1 in hex

Again you did it. The fix was just change the last instance with -1 in the hex and that fixed the problem.

Thank you PremierD.

can you explain me what do you mean by changing to -1 last instance?

thanks

This is what tachosoft shows

The mileage is stored in the next lines:
0000: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0010: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0020: 08 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
0030: FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
0040: FF FF FF FF xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
where the next bytes:
08 00 - is a mileage

now when entering the new codes just do -1

0000: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0010: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 07 00 07 00
0020: 07 00

That actually fixes the problem...

On this I personally like doing the actual way thats on the dump...
Below is example of original dump info

0000: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0010: 08 00 07 00 07 00 07 00 07 00 07 00 07 00 07 00
0020: 07 00

This is what tachosoft shows

The mileage is stored in the next lines:
0000: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0010: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0020: 08 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
0030: FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
0040: FF FF FF FF xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
where the next bytes:
08 00 - is a mileage
it must be like this
The mileage is stored in the next lines:
0000: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0010: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0020: 08 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
0030: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
0040: 00 00 00 00 xxxx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
where the next bytes:
08 00 - is a mileage

and this is another example

0000: 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00 08 00
0010: 08 00 08 00 07 00 07 00 07 00 07 00 07 00 07 00
0020: 07 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
0030: 00 00 00 00 00 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
0040: FF FF FF FF xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
