Hi All

Does anyone know what is the best additive to put into unleadded petrol for a 1967 Riley Elf 'A' series engine.

Hi Mate ,
i use redex petrol additive for older engines , in my 1971 Vanden Plas Princess ADO16 .
Used as instructed on the bottle , i ran it for 1000mls or so to work and back
this summer (what there was of it !) , and it still sounds sweet , burning no more oil than it did at the beginning of summer.
The car hasn't had a unleaded head conversion , and has been run on standard unleaded petrol .
Hope this helps .

you can also have your valve clearances checked more often than originally recommended, if you start to get valve seat recession you will find your valve clearances closing up, it happens more on cars when you run them at higher revs, say above 2500 rpm, Jim.
