This an UNCONFIRMED RUMOR that clearly states in the radio wiring plug is everythin, you could imagine, reverse lights, heated mud flaps, reverse thruster, side lights, can-bus everything, did you chap use an iso block? - Think your from America - you properbly have no idea what an ISO block is.

See if you can download aftermarket can-bus sterring wheel control adaptor for new radio ga-ga.

I had a S60 with aftermarket radio and SRS on.
S40 is different I assume it?s S40II
I used VIDA and did a complete erase all nodes. From what I remember it took a few times.

Use the ?Thanks Button?

Thanks I did not know what iso block was as we call it a installation harness . I also did not know some radios will work with factory controls. Dont you know volvos dont work with aftermarket. I have tried clearing all codes with vida a couple times no luck as well look for a place to change cem config to not look for it. Maybe there is a there is file for the central module I believe thats the one sending the message. Heres what works with them.

There is not a selection for ICM removal under vida software. Plug the ICM in and see what happens. Hide it under the dash?
Good Luck!
