I have a Bosch 0 261 207 696 Engine ECU from 04 Porsche Cayene. The DME is malfunctioning. One injector is not working. I Took a look at the internal parts and found one flash memory 29f800 next to the main processor. I was pretty sure that is what holds all the info regarding immobilizer, so I have swapped the chip to another ECU from the junk yard. After all done ,no go. Switched the ignition key on and immo massage shows up at the screen and the car starts for second and shots off. I`m confused now because to my knowledge all the immo info should seat in the swapped flash. Do you have any experience with this ECU I can post the dump from this ECU if that help.

According to the manual above the IMMO should be stored in the eeprom like 95P08, 95128, 95160 or in 95320. I`m looking all around the module and cant find anythink like that. I see only 3 chips in 8 legs and that not it. I have attached the picture so somebody can point it The flash on the side of the processor is taken out for the moment and the 3 chips with 8 legs are LM 2904 which is not eeprom , RS90614 , dont know what it is and another on the back of the board is ST 084C. Thats all. So where is the eeprom ?

I cant agree with you about this statement.
How about Bosch 261 207 106 unit . In here the immo pin is stored in Flash AM29F400BB .That is a fact.

BTW I`m still searching where is stored immo info in the unit from the post above.
