Recovered a 2005 Golf today with an ignition problem,when you turn the key the radio will come on then go off & the key will turn 180 then click. I have been told that the clutch at the rear of the lock is not working properly : ) has anyone got a diagram for this lock or a link to info on the hu66 lock.

explain again , i don't understood . the problem is in ignition or the problem is a radio?

you have 3 options, first change the cylinder, second you can just remove the lock .

Probably You have wrong key from ignition, or ignition is destroyed. Ignition go littel and then cluth is on. Steering lock is all time on?

PS
When it is Golf 5 don't try destructiv methods to pull out this ignition because after it steering lock will be permanent blocked. When You need more info PM

If that's the case that would be the clutch doing it's job.
