Window wipers have went mad.

Astra 53 plate.

My window wipers seem to have lost their mind.

When I tell them to wipe, they always stop in random places and never back at the 'home' position.

I reckon the freeze has ~~~~ed something, probably due to them freezing up and an extra load being put onto the circuit. Could a faulty relay cause this?

Can you please tell me what year is this astra since i dont know 53 plate?
Usualy the problem is in wiper motor.
There is a contact in motor that makes wipers stop in proper place.

agree with above, worth a go - you can do at home - if your lucky.

VERY VERY EASY - assuming it is a MK4!

wrench wiper arms off, smash scutlle panel off, 3 bolts - wiper motor in your hands.

drill the pop rivits out of the 'round bit' - fill with UB40 - get rid off the grease, the wheel inside - sand with Dreaml and UB40 the silver 3/4 ring, fill with grease - forget about the pop rivits, re-upload to car, ~~~~ it off.

approx 1 hour - inculding looking at ~~~~.

Can just see it now, youtube video, you'll see all our little 'secrets' we have in the back room, the bog that looks like it came from the film 'train spotting' - then all you would hear is the boss, muttering about wasting time making a video - although he dosn't except that DK lines his pockets with money!

Next time one comes in, tell them it's ~~~~ed and skank the old one, VERY easy, we had one that was mullered, decided it was ~~~~ed, put it back on - it worked - very odd.
