If your DAS just happened this problem, you can refer its solution here.

"when first start the computer it loggs into windows without a password, but when shut the screen the computer goes into standby mode, when open the screen it asks for a password for windows which did not set any password before"

Here solution is:

Reboot your computer. If you find your STAR user account is locked then try this password: User$star2004. If it does not work, log into your other account (OWNER) and remove the password for user STAR

and you can do it like this too:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/tips/advanced/autologon.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/tips/advanced/autologon.mspx)

Hope this is helpful to you. If you have any nice solution for some DAS problem, welcome you share it here.:hahaha:

if you have any DAS problem, fell free to say here, to see whether have the smart guy to help you.

NO need to do so,
When ur log in DAS, go to RUN--> CMD --> net user --> ENTER

This will show you what user's are on the PC.
Now IF u want to change the PW OF STAR without knowing the Current PW:

RUN--> CMD --> net user STAR * then press enter

It will ask you to type a password for the user,
Then type ur desired pw, confirm, DONE.

NOTE: when you type the pw in command prompt, ull not see any changes in the line, its normal case because the typing is hidden :P

Regards,
MIKE.

it also can solve it like this:

go to start , then run
then type control userpasswords2
then delete the star account
and create a new account
-----it works, tested already.
