I own original MPPS but I'm still disappointed that it doesn't have support for some old ECU's for example Siemens SIDXXX. So this tool still has advantages.

I work with this tool MPPS and I've never had problems even with BMW and never had problems with x17 and magpro2 shall it's original

I think the biggest problem with clones is the users especailly the ones who use thier spyware/so called antivirus filled 'family' computers with no solder exp/backup, Ive now over 100 flashes I'm sure with galletto/kwp in the last few years and zero problems though I would recommend to noobs the solder method to start off and not cloned flashtools.

I want ask for yet another. I has had problem with Kess before upgrade to version 4.0. when i want to connected ecu EDC15V ? VW Grup TDI, I was tried for example Octavia, Golf IV?. I could not read and write ECU

When i tried Galileto with this Cars, all was inorder and i could read and write the ECU.

If i connected with kess ford S-max ECU SID and Renault ECU S3000, Kess worked OK.
Have samebody the same problem?

Probably. But also, take advice from Boras. Find data sheet for that switched power supply near inductor and see what he requires as peripheral elements, maybe there is your answer.

May I express wrong:
The cars ignition was lost -> I mean when you turn the key in "on" position (magpro2 says "turn on the ignition" when the flasher is getting the data from the ecu) you hear some sounds from the steering etc for normal. but when connect the kess clone and try to get the data from the ecu there are no sounds from the steering and no sounds from the engine at all. I get the error codes for steering and so on as well (I just get them when writing the new file on the ecu?! with the other kess clone I killed)...I need to delete them with unplug the battery.

Doesn't depend on the software (I tried magpro 3+4 and expi) and on the car (tried another one).

friend of mine need to tune a peugeot with such an ecu

and he uses software of race2000.

problem is that we need interface that will read

this 6lp in more bytes than galletto reads<64k>

cause race2000 cant work with this small map.

question is:can kess clone read more bytes than 64k?

also he owns dimsport org but this tool can only write

not read!!!

Hi. I Used first time, and first have some problems, that solved easily. First of all, reduce speed to slow... many problems are with high speed selected. In edc15 select FOREVER SLOW . I tried to read edc15 of my xsara and that was the only way to go ok (slow). In my altea edc16, I selected u version, but worked in edc16plus version . In galletto 1260 worked ok with edc16u1/u31 selectec... I selected slow in edc16 too, if you dont want to loss data packets. Dont risk with this clone, and every time select SLOW, this is more secure ..if you dont want break a ecu, waste time waiting jejejje. I used magpro 4.2 version and flashtec 13.1 . In another forums talks about kess clone is blocking many ecus, including edc15. I think this is because they sell original programmers and want to talk bad about clones. I recongnize original is better and secure, but clones , if you do questions before you do a ecu in the forum, people can tell if works or doesnt works. I've gal1260 and is very good for the cost (20usd), mpps does more cars but if goes with gal do with galletto . Now, kess cost more money 230 eur plus adouanne 42 eur=270 eur. I hope this does new ecus (I dont expect edc17, but be more secure in latest edc16 ecu thqt mpps blocks or gal1260 doesnt do.). Please write your experiences with kess clone :) . I will do a list with cars read/written ok. :wink:
