Have my brothers radio from honda civic need code

Its a pioneer
Model = Deh-M6627zh
Serial = 39101-s5s-x310-m1

Carbase says to read Br 9010 which i cannot find

So found 93c46 which i take is the chip i need to read but it will not read with upa just get all ff ff

Any help would be good thanks

Yes it is the correct chip - some of these came with 93c46 but most came with BR9010, no rhyme or reason as to why!

Are you reading it rotated and off the pcb? There is very little data stored in it and its all in line 30.

Im reading off the board have tryed as normal and rotated and keep getting CLK errors connections are all good and clean.

Part number of chip = s93c46
BR VD6
0165

does any one have datasheet

This is very easy eeprom for read :)

hello
if you read the br9010 first time like 93c46 normal pin
you need to replace the eeprom and program it with new dump

yh i no it should be simples! have attached dump , all in line 30 as you said could i have code please, thanks for the help

Nearly there but bad read mate - try again. 31h will always be 'A0'

When you get a read with 31h with data 'A0' you gotta good read.

Edit: I have upa-usb also but i dont like it for some microwire devices. I swap to Willem or even Pony usually reads it on the board!

i tried to read again and still get the same dump. Siti your code doesnt work the set doesn't except 0 only 1 to 6 . thanks for your help
