Code-Card...Car Prog.. Whats the facts? [Sitemap]

Dear Group.

I have some genuine code card products, been sitting on the fence with Car Pog, simply because i wanted it all and it was pricey to buy this way.

Now, the price has fallen i guess due to a cracked version being ready or almost ready for sale.

Here is my dilema, If i buy now will support still be available?...
I have been told off the record that the company is splitting up and a new tool being worked on :(

If this is so i see little point buying genuine, does any one know if a cracked full version with hardware is available? Any links or info appreciated

Now my mind code be changed towards genuine....
If Code-Card was to take back the no longer updateble "genuine" hardware in favour of updating to their new project....... :)

I am also a codecard customer,
I heard about a "dongle" that fully activate the box, however you have to send the original box and dongle have a limit of runs,

price for that is almos crazy, 1.000 euro, which randomly is the xmass price for the update...susp?cious

also is said to be a clone but haven?t able to find more info about..

I've personally seen, Lina is not a machine, actually a woman :), but she - sales manager, and if you asked her technical questions - you can get wrong or incomplete answer:banghead:. Should contact the technical support in this case.:call2:

The thing is will there be technical support now this product has been reduced so much because of software issues's and no doubt cloan hardware is in sight...?

I believe in buying products from guys like these especialy when they sell on the basis there equipment protects your investment, Im sure I read this some where! :)

I guess I should not complain, this is one occasion I have not spent large to find it for pennys on ebay :evil:

there is no clone of carprog hw

only atmega is cracked where the activation for software is. thats why they need your device to send them or to self solder the atmega

carprog has one more "dallas" micro, this one needs to be cracked too, to can build cloned hw, but no one till now is able/has crack it.

i have carprog full & while the product seems pretty good i am a little disapointed, everything i try seems to not work & their suport consists of very short answers that dont always cover the questions.
I was actually told by support he was sick of answering my question cos i asked the same question twice but he didnt answer it.

We in Serbian language have one saying. I don't know did I translate it good: "The Frog saw where horses puts horse-shoe, so she lifted a leg too".

So, Lithuanians saw where Russians and Bulgarians makes tools, so they want it too. But, they are lazy, they don't understand English (Currently universal language for whole World), they don't give a shit for customers etc...

Several times when I wanted to buy some tools, I always got wrong answer. Worse than Chinese. And Lina?! OMG. I asked for price of CARPROG FULL after new Year, she enumerate to me possibilities: Carprog basic, Carprog Basic + Update and Carprog Full. I already knowed that. I want to know price! Is it such big deal?!

Don't get me wrong. This "Lithuanians" refers to Codecard guys.

P.S. cqae is from Australia. I woulnd say that some Lina or whoever knows English better than him.

dont get me wrong, lina has been helpful, but i only ask her sales questions, for tech support i talk to henrikas or raimais, both try to help, and I am sure they do their best, but sometimes the questions I ask are not answered and i reasked and was once told he was sick of trying to help me!--kinda rude actually

i have carprog, it is difficult to use the manuals are to brief, and if you ask a question you only get half an answer if you get one at all,

i bought an early tool also for reading vag dashes v3.08 but guess what after weeks of trying it wont read rb8/rb4 dashes there argument was they never have those dashes and couldnt test one to make it work.

not much help to me almost all the uk mk4 golfs use that dash so it sits in a draw unused and useless e300 with no refund??

I also asked them for price and i was ready to buy a full version of carprog just 20 days ago.
Guess what they never reply to my mail.
I dont know if they are to busy but the fact is that if they never reply when you are going to buy, how fast they will reply when you will need tech support?
Anyway seems to be a good tool but you have to think twice when you are going to spend about 3.000 euro.

they usually do reply within a few days, but every now and then they seem to go missing, i do remember about a month ago they had an isue with their email system so maybe it was then.
although they had a deal on to go to carprog full for 1000euro just before xmas

If you want to make hardware test you need to have Hardware test adapter, do you have this? :lollypop:

I HAVE PROBLEMS USING S5.5 GM CRASH ERASE, ITS NOT WORKING I CONTACT SUPPORT, THEY ANSWER ME, I KNOW, ITS DIFFICULT WITH THIS GUYS HAVE A CONVERSATION . BUT I SENT SOME DUMPS CRASH AND THEY CLEARED FOR ME, JAPANESE CARS, 2 AND THEY WORK, BUT SOME TIMES I THINK THEY IGNORE YOU .

Hi to you all.

Take DIAGPROG,ENIGMA,DIGIPROG etc .

These tools costs from 8500euro and up. If these tools-developers cant get all to work in every car . How can then a smal tool-developer like "codecard.lt" have it all working for 1/3 of price.

if its promised to do all thats writen on website carprog sould cost about 12000euro or more.
only a stupid would sell it for less..

So for low-price its just buy an try.

OFF TOPIC:-

Last week we ordered some parts from codecard.lt, we ordered at 4pm and had the parts in hand by 10am next day.

1) Brilliant, they managed to put on the address label instead of "Meat-City"
they ended up putting "Meat-Crap" - (seriously) they must know this town
is a crap hole.

2) Only downside is, but it an advantage, needed a chain saw to open the packet

reading onboard (ISP) not working half of the times,
writing onboard (ISP) not working, allways errors

reading on socket looks ok, writing on socket too

so better use other tool for onboard (clip) reading

i?m a carprog user since january, i never ever had problems with harware or software ecen with support. they are just great.

i use carprog all the time, even for help member of DK.

when i have some new ecu or radio , i just send the dump to them, and a cople hours later i have the solution. it really is a wonderfull tool, and low cost.

anyone can have it for 2000 euros ( not all cables, but 80 % of cables you can do it by yourself ).

i just say " THANK YOU CODECARD TEAM "

lol yes is necessary connected in internet for used the software (connection the serveur carprog)

This is verry bad for someone who works outdoors or that moves

If CarProg wants to keep the customers it has an interest in moving
