Read ,clear DTC cat ?

What do I need for reading and clearing Cat DTC ? Software and hardware advice please.
Had some problems with one of our Cat telehandlers last week and a technician was there with his computer.
He couldnt clear all DTC cause he needed PW for that and only one guy at the local cat dealer has that, he says.
Is it the factory password he means ?

You need to read!
Everything is here, you need CAT ET2010C (thats the latest), you need to ask for keys in that thread to register it.
Hardware you need an adapter like the NEXIQ Usb-Link or something similar.

hello, this fellow I have a caterpillar generator but the keys to open a html file and want to generate passwords manufactures all I get is a red light, someone knows why this happens or will I need some file ke, greetings and thanks for help

using xp home or pro? it does not work on my xp home pc, but works great on my xp pro pc.
