Hi everyone. I recently encountered problems in removing DPF off a 2010 Crafter. The CR injection system is managed by a EDC17 ECU, Bosch type. The car has already had the filter physically removed, now all we have to do is make the software run ok.
There is a permanent fault on engine ECU, which I managed to analyze and try to erase with VAG-COM. I know everyone told me that VAG-COM will not connect to a Crafter unless is in OBD2 mode, but for me it works the classical way -address 01. I can read/clear faults, see measuring blocks, etc.
The fault memory contains one single DTC:
P2463/009315 - Diesel Particle Filter: Excessive Soot Accumulation
By reading here, P2463/009315 - Ross-Tech Wiki (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/P2463/009315), I understand that a forced regeneration is necessary as a first step in trying to resolve this car's problem. I know the filter is gone and the exhaust back pressure sensor will generate implausible signal for the ECU, but this I can fix by using an emulator.
How can I lauch a forced regeneration on VAG EDC17 by VAG-COM?
Will this work? 3.0l V6 TDI (BKS/BMK/BUN) - Ross-Tech Wiki (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/3.0l_V6_TDI_%28BKS/BMK/BUN%29)
Or do I really need VAS5054 in order to do this forced regeneration?
