Try uninstalling and reinstalling the program it may bring back the incon what other programs do you have installed on your laptop ? if you have any version of java installed other than the one used to run servicemaxx java 1.6 i think it is the program will not run and the icon will just turn white on your desktop and will not open or run

I have all kinds of problems with any version of java besides the one that it recommends.

On any computer I put it on, I uninstall Java, reboot, and then run the ServiceMaxx setup. Depending on which version of ServiceMaxx you have, it will either install it for you, or send you to the website to have it done (and get the correct version).

Also, don't try to run it on Vista or Windows7!

ServiceMaxx get your hands on a working serviceMaxx
I got it working a little different but do this copy the deployment folder under documents and settings\(name of user)\application data\sun\java
from a good working service maxx and copy the start icon on desktop copy over the folder and edit the icon on your user name and make sure reset your computer date to 2010 run keygen with your ID code and run program and presto works change your date back and still works this is how I did it.

I tried that offline version, you still have to go online and update the program so it will work. Then the program dies.

I work at an International dealer we have windows XP on all of our computers at work, I also heard from others XP is the best operating system for any diagnostic program.

The only way mine would open I had to be connected to the internet, someone on here said something about opening the program from the start menu. No luck same thing. Never found a solution to the problem.

With windows vista disable the wifi and install it will ask for the license key and then it will open up and you can use it. Do not connect to the internet to update unless for some reason it will not run without it. It is the servicemasxx 221 version and it works great. Enjoy everyone I hope this helps all of you out

Mines works the other way around. It only works if I have the internet on. If no internet it asks for keys and none of them work.

There is a new KG the new KG generates 18 characters, meanwhile the older ServiceMaxx KG only generates 16 characters. AutoKG has it and I think that he will not sell it only will sell passwords.

Are you using the supplied installer (did you download the one from that page?)? Did you delete both servicemaxx and java in add/remove programs? Were you disconnected from the internet wifi and wired? Just in case I screwed up here is another key to try.

just remember once this is done turn off or disable internet or servicemaxx will update and require new codes.

You are probably right about Win 7 64 bit. I received 3 passwords for Servicemaxx 7777-7777 on Win 7, tried them all, but did not work. So I've decided to stop trying on Win 7.

This time, I was installing Servicemaxx pass on XP SP3. But I have not succeeded.

By the way, I am using the newer software from thread "ServiceMaxx Fixed". Maybe I should uninstall this and reinstall the old Servicemaxx setup file? The old one used to work until it died last December. I don't know why it died though.

Please help.....suggestions please?

After installing both, uninstall all versions of Java. Reboot. Reisntall Java 6 update 10. I've done it a bunch.

I have found a new way to fix the short cut for Servicemaxx when it won't launch. Follow the following instructions and it will work fine again. If it helps please hit thanks.

Go to run and type in javaws ?viewer and then right click on servicemaxx and click on install short cut.
If the short cut on the desk top is not working then do the same above but delete the short cut and launch it from the servicemaxx web site. Then do the above to add the desk top short cut back again.

If the software trial expired, then you would need the 18 character password, I believe a DK memeber Steveoff has the key generator.
I also dont know if reinstalling the software would help...but you could give it a try, then post the PC ID.

I used the registry hack to register the program. It allows me to get into servicemaxx through the diagnostic button. Does the key everyone keeps requesting allow access to parameter changes or does it just register the program so you can use it in diagnostic mode?

I installed servicemaxx using the offline method using the factor install.
It opened up after the install and I changed the activation code with "A88C" and it said it was activated until 2040. I then went back online but when servicemaxx opened it said the serial was not good valid and it wanted a new 18 digit serial.
How do I get around this.
I also uninstalled and tried "D88C" and it activated it until 2041, but when I went online and it updated it said the serial was invalid.
