hi i need do it a Electronic circuit for the led of the airbag for itv inspection. i have 555 chip but i need someone that calcule the value of the condensers and the resistances and the scheme for this. i need when i turn on the key the time of the airbag light is light for a 10 secons + -.if i need put 12v in 5v i have L7805cv for this bu i think that the 555 can work 5-16v,can someone help me whitc this.

Look at the datasheet of LM555 on alldatasheet.com, you`ll find there your schematic, the formula for the C and R ( one C and one R ), look for a monostable schematic.
It`s very simple schematic for someone which knows electronics. If you don`t, find a guy who will do that for you.

my english is not good, somebody have the scheme for this i think that i need resistor of 500 ohms and condenser of 1 microfaradium (1000 nanofaradium). i think that i can use the 12v but if cant works ok i put a L7805cv for use 5v.

From where are you? , maybe i can help you with more elegant solution and not prehistoric 555 :)

yes 12 volt is good OR use "7810" regulator
lower voltage will increase timing - i think.

WHOA, HANG ON, WHY PUT A PASSWORD ON FILE????
DK IS A SHARING SITE, WHY DO OTHER MEMBERS BOTHER TO HELP OUT, EVENING'S WEEKENDS, BANK HOLIDAYS ETC ETC, THEN FOLKS PASSWORD STUFF.
YES STOPS LEECHERS, BUT GOES THE OTHER WAY, AT M-H-M WE NEED A IMMO OFF FILE - YES THERE IS ONE ON HERE, PASSWORDED!! MEMBER NOT BEEN ON FOR MONTHS! :rulez::rulez::rulez::rulez::rulez:

If you need pass, only you have that ask me, but i think not useful for you because is special application, or you will do from now every airbags light with "dog"?, i know rules, but it is my own work, not simple edition in hex editor, a little more work todo firmaware than do only edition. Where do you find sch+hex freedom :)

Ebay or Google
"DEI 528T"
A very nice problem solver. Will take 12V or ground trigger, latched or pulse. Output time is adjustable 1-90 seconds. Always keep one on hand.

Since now i see a lot guys putting "dogs" to airbag lights????, seem as like that airbag repair and others system is deading? :)
Please, you have this S.*.I.T of project here.
Happy now? :)

One question, where did you conected pin 5 and 14 of PIC?
Because theirs were omitted in schematic.

pin 5 and 14 i dont conected.i conected pins 4,6 15 and 16 but dont works i ckeck it again , i dont think it is bad.

Your forgot supply to microcontroller :), put 5 to gnd and 14 to +5v (vcc). Now yes will work :)
