No, as Golf 3 has immo 1, that is a separate immo box and as long as its sending signal to ECU to say the correct key transponder is recognized it'll start

Yes it does, all immo 1 systems will send the same signal to the ECU to tell it that the correct key is there. You can change ECU and use with original or matching transponder + immo or you can change matching transponder + immo to use with original ECU

You will still need to Re-Synchronise the ECU to your Immo box........

Never done that on mine, I have a 96 Golf 3 Tdi and have changed the immo box a few times with ones Ive got from breakers yards from polo's, Golf's, Ibiza, Cordoba and its started every time !

I replaced the ecu and the engine doesn't work. Immo not allow. I able to change the eeprom. What do you think?
