Hi,

I would like to ask if someone has experience with Ssangyong cars?

Wich software could I use with elm to diagnos?

I've tried it with ScanXL pro with alfa mode, it reads and reset, but I don't see the good codes.

Thanks.

It is common rail Delphi and is EOBD ,so with an ELM and Scantools v1.2 to read fault and system parameters.

With elm software you can read only generic parameters - codes, the ones you can`t see are proprietary parameters which elm processor and sw doesn`t know about them
The same situation is for Daewoo too, proprietary parameters, only genuine service tools can be used for them.

EOBD only applies if he lives in Europe.
If he lives in for instance South-Africa there are no laws requiring this vehicle to comply to exhaust emission standards and the Elm-interface is useless.

He is Dutch (orange lion and Beanes soep)
So, it is EOBD !

(Beanes soep??? hahaha).

Ontopic, Yes it is EOBD. But the weird fact is, I have resetted the ML (check engine), so it is readable.. Only the software does not understand it :saint:

God move in mysterious ways, but so does the European Community.
Not every diesel had to comply with EOBD in 2004. There were numerous exemptions. As of 1st. Jan. 2007 all passenger cars (diesel, Gas, bi-fuel and petrol) have to comply. Could be this car is one of the exemptions.

Compliant or not, reading codes with the Alfa-module will not produce anything you can use.

Have you tried the generic method of reading codes? Service 3 and 7. And live data? Service 1.

Yes tried the generic method, but it's weird that it reads with scanxlpro and reset @ alfa (yes, check light is off now).
So it can read the delphi module..

Btw, wich software do I need for KM corrections? Tacho software oid?

Thanks.

Nothing weird about it. Clear codes command for several manufacturers is the same.

So, what happens in the generic mode?

Error that it can't read the ecu, but in the alfa mode it reads the ecu (but i don't see the fault codes).

Tampering with mileage is forbidden by law. Don't ask me how that works.

But there is no specific software for ssangyong that works with elm?
