Hi Chaps
I have a HP laptop with PP and Lexia on it and since I updated it last it will not work without be attached to mains voltage. It comes up with the usual PP will not start etc when not attached to the mains and drains the battery rapidly. Laptop is 4 years old. This problem seemed to co-inside with the last update. Any suggestions welcome--laptop battery maybe?.

I'm sure it was pure coincidence, laptop battery is dead and somehow happened at same time you updated PP.

Really looks like your battery is dead for what you described

What other Software programs you have on this Laptop ? Have you tried using them to see if it does he same with any other programs.......

But, in any other case I would also say the same as sl4ck it could be the Laptops Battery needs changing 4 years is a good long time............
