Hi to All,
First thanks to everyone for the great info. Having read through most of the posts and doing some checks. I figured that my pump had a machanical failure.
I'm trying to source another used one but can't find exact part number.
Car Mondeo 2003 TDDI 2.0l, D5BA engine Bosch 0470004009.
Can find a bosch 0470004012 transit i think.
But what other part number are compatable and what about electronics?
Oh! sent my pump for evaluation - confirmed worn housing etc, etc. They want ?780 euro for recon unit.... and I'm out of work at the moment!
Thanks

BOSCH stopped production of this pump in 2006. New number is 0 470 004 013.
Exchange product should be available. It's number is 0 986 444 502 (remanufactured by BOSCH).
Don't use 0 470 004 012 - It's different pump. It looks similar, but it has different control unit (the one at the top of the pump).

Thanks Victor,
Can I transfer my old electronic controls to a 0470004012 unit and would that work? or is the 4013 model plug and play for my mondeo.
Also is the 0470004013 installed in many other motors and does anybody know which ones. This will make it easier to find...

0 470 004 013 was used only in D5BA.
Transferring control unit won't work. I found out that also magnetic valve is slightly different (the one mounted on the hydraulic head).
When you plug in 4013 (or different 4009) to your engine, you might experience some immobiliser issues. Plugging to a KTS might be needed.

Thanks VictorMA,
I was searching around for a secondhand pump but there like "hens teeth" ...
Alot of people are offering a pump for the transit as the same, it ends in 021. I have been trying to check through the ford numbers which I found by accident yesterday using google.
I will post the results when I figure everthing out.
It is amazing they have so many numbers for this pump and also on the common rail engines aswell ??? The common rail has only one outlet to the rail and the 009 has four outlets...??
This is a great forum thanks for all the help for far.
