peugeot 407 hdi 2005 ball joint

had one of these to do in march 2010 they there ~~~~ed and replaced with gsf ones , anyway there ~~~~ed again after 20000 miles and now is undriverable because its seized and snapped the bolts off.

its at the agent now and they want 1200 to repair as they have upgraded to hubs to take a newer type ball joint

dont know way he took it there and not to me ? now he cant get it to me to repair

peugeot told him it was down to fitting ( bastards ) its a common fault and they blame me ..

wot lm looking for is some links to this fault so l can show the guy

l heard they recalled these aboard but not in the uk

just remembered this car now ,, it came in 2 weeks again because it was leaking power steering fluid out of the tank , he had a silly warranty company thing so l said l couldn't guaranty if it was the rack or the pump , he then took it to nationwide and after afew days said they didnt know and wouldn't do it , then it went to the main agents and guess wot lol they didnt know aswell lol.


then this week his ball joint comes loose ? how can he blame me after 10 months ???? any of them garages might of started work on that and then stopped because they didnt want to take the job on couldnt they and left the ball joint lose

wots saying one of them garages did start stripping and then changed there mind or the customers got no money


l know l have told the lads to start stripping a car then rang the customer and they have said they didnt want it done and had to get the lads to stop and put back together again ?

Loads as everyone want everything done for nothing, as you say you get one in, start on it, call owner with price and they back down unless its going to be a full engine rebulid for 20 quid. I have one the other day a Suzuki box lump of shite, he called said he could only get 3rd and 4th gear, went to him, one of the gear cables was off the box, put it back on with a paper clip just to drive it up workshop, the g\box was whining like a cheap brass, made a new end for cable put it all back together, took it back down to him, told him the g\box was on it way out, 2 days later he called and said the g\box is making more noise since you fixed the cable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it say "O/E Spec" on the box/invoice/their website.

Don't know if this helps, but M-H-M are now the first member of "The Bad Garage Scheme" - perhaps you could join, membership includes a top soliciter that deals with stuff like this - they simply scream down the phone and tell them to ~~~~ off

spoke to the guy again today and told him that because its been to 2 garages l not going to repair it and spoke to peugeot today where the car is and he never told them its been to 2 different garages in 3 weeks and they have had seen the bolts snapping before ..

he didnt say alot , it could of been anywhere
