bmw e90 vin

hi

customer got a bmw e90 from salvage with no start ecu and cas damaged.

have replaced the ecu and cas with key and car starts got the parts from breakers yard?

now the problem is the vin in the cas and ecu are from another car so my question is i can change the vin in the cas and ecu and if i was to program a blank key after to the cas will it work?

any help would be appricated.
