mitsubishi carisma immo box dead

i have a 2002 carisma and am trying to program a new id44 key,the immo box is faulty with no comms,i've tried to program using AD900 but no luck,my question is can i program the new key using T300 to a used immo box or will i have to replace the engine ecu and key too?
