Backups & Save Data

I have managed to get gaia manaager to work and I am currently trialling red dead redemption. However the backup is not recognising/loading my saved data from before when i played it using the original disc.

Is there anyway of getting it to use my old save data so that I do not need to start again?

Copy your saves to a usb stick then delete the saves from ps3 then copy saves on the stick back to ps3 that should fix your problem
