go on to there forum and ask , tbh talktalk are g8, but there modems are shit , i got a dg netgear off ebay for a tenner , up graded top dgteams custom software and its fantistic.
you can also ask them to change your profile , on the netgear one you can do it youself.

Talk-Talk broadband is worst of time and money, because the server keeps going off most of the time and I have lots of friends complaining and nothing will boost the Talk-Talk broadband speed, people have them because of saving few pounds.

isnt it like the bt broadband accelerator that isolatesthe bell wire from the telephone socket? if so, then yeah you may see a negligible speed increase

I have talk talk broadband, and in all honestly it's not too bad.

I get a download speed of 8mbps which is quite good, I have 40mb per month allowance, and in the past when I have gone way over it I have never been contacted about the usage. My service never gets throttled either. So allround that is pretty good to me - and all for next to nothing.

It does however drop connection from the server about once a day for the last 3 weeks for some reason. Funnily enough it did only start about 3 weeks ago --- but hey ho, you can't have it all. well you can but it costs spondoolies.
