bmw e46 ews3 key

Hi, I have bmw e46 330i. I believe it's EWS 3. WHAT transponder is in the key or is it a chip?
Can I clone this key to PCF7935 blank with code reader 2?
I have Abritus bmw commander with hitag and key tool but no special features. How to use those to program another key?
Can abritus basic read EWS through OBDII?

Please share your experience, please.

yes it is ews 3 you can clone it,must read ews and gnerate transponder 7935 or orginal key,I don know anithig about code reader I work with zedbull,you can do key for ews with obd

read motorola from Ews with upa.
Generate new key in the dump and new key position with abritus keytag
Use 7935 transponder for writing generated key to.

Can u advise how to connect ews chip with upa?
I don't have tool to read obdii

Yes thats correct but use XProg-m to read the OD46J, its alot easier as you just plug it into the adaptor, no wires to solder at all.

Reading EWS through OBD2? I would love to know how this is possible?

One wire to solder m8, see xprog-m connection diagram, only do it like this if maskset is 0D46j.

If your using Tagkeytool to make transponder let me know how you get on m8

Or if your crap at soldering you can use a test clip and directly clip onto the Mcu leg.

Oh you mean the KLine adaptor, yeh sure I use that to. Its the same principal as OBD2 yeh but I thought he meant he can plug into OBD2 Socket of car and do everything through that, thats not possible though, if im wrong Id love to know how its done?

You also have to solder an earth m8, MOD-B if i remember correctly, i dont have xprog-m on this computer.

Take a look in Devices, immobilisers, ews 3, connection diagrams, it will show you what to do and were to solder cable.

yes your right mate,I know I use it everyday, thats what i mean though, if doing it through OBD2 that would be no wires at all to solder on, hows that done then for those who say it can be done for EWS?

you must use external crystal with a few other components for reading them out of circuit if your using the UPA or it wont work

Guys, need your help. How do I make sure that the mcu in EWS is maskset 0D46j? My key maker only does keys with this processor, if I use it on others it will destroy data.
When looking at the markings at the processor, does it have to say clearly 0D46j? If it says 0D47J or PLCC52 it mean it's not it?
What cars is this OD46J found on?

what key maker you use? i think AK90 good tools. no need remove mcu for read dump.

Original EWS that come with the vehicle was a EWS3, if you buy a replacement EWS from the dealer you will receive a EWS4 that has a HC12 MCU inside.

Ak90+ works reallw well on these EWS3. tried it this weekend on a friend's e46. Just need to scratch off the varnish on the pins and without soldering, just connect the wiring . Just be carefull with the new key . can be an original transponder or a pcf7935 depending on the key ....
