*THINK* centre console - near radio - alarm/immo box.
*TRY* first tow start engine. - See if will run.
*TRY* Hold key to 'start' (III) then see if there is a BROWN/BLACK???? wire to short
to ground - use 5 amp fuse incase of mistake.

well my friend I FOUND it....wowww looks realy like some french shity BSI back on the fuse box on driver side.. lucas 16 VT control unit rover YWC 10217..so there is 2 relays for central lock inside /motorola proc/and lot of gremlins..
but as I say in first post I will find and shortcut few wires to make this device for something else not for start prevention...I manage to find relay for starter ..relay for glow plugs..now it will be nice to have some schematic of conection to this modul..remember this is old engine without ecu so it will b easy to bypass this ccu in my case.but it will be easier if some of you have schematic of coneection for thic CCU module..
thanks you meat head I know you are fan of rovers and they are youre favourite cars..and franchie tooo.(hmm)
regards!

Just connect one side (proper) of starter relay on GND! It has start prohibiter relay inside alarm box. After starter has to work on keys without code. Probably car will not crank just start.

hy tihi..there is no aditional relay in alarm box only 2 for central locking actuator..I already bypass starter relay...now I need to find ignition ON relay..only two wires one for shutoff valve on pump and one for glow plug relay..probably same line for both of them..if there is schematic for conection on thos modul I will be able to make all this (probably) with jumper or two...that is main reason why I ask for this car here..for most members rover is domestic car..but seems to me only Meat Head like this cars nobody else..comon guys where is youre national pride????:manuscarf:

I belive what you say about this rover...can you belive only part what is **** up on it is this valeo(frenchie) ccu modul and whole engine (WM italian pearl) ha ha ha what a fun idea...afternon we try to start it..so put one wire on shut off solenoid another one on glow plug relay..put starter on his batery and crank...hello is anybody in this engine??? nope ..It wont start even with help of start (etanol) spray directly in inlet manifold..so I will finish bypass work and tow it to some scrapy mechanic..he maybe can find where is compresion...somewher in back seat maybe?
youre story about wipers on franchie cars..this is normal for them if you open wiper motor switch you will see small cooper contact for groun conection ..what an idea..crayz folks realy..so I always put wire on motor bolt directly to neearest ground bolt..and voila customer satisfied whit this type of solution

ON TOPIC:-
As for the Rover engine, it may be possable that it has been stood because of remote problem, and now no oil in the bores to create compression.
1) *TRY* crank, GLOW PLUGS GLOW PLUGS, crank crank, crank GLOW PLUGS GLOW PLUGS. - NO diesel - to see if the heated air will make
the pistons expand enough to make compression.
2) If possable remove two glowplugs or injectors and pump SMALL amount of oil in.
3) Finish repair and try tow starting.

yep my friend..sometimes frenchie have problems with ground on this wire..so you find a way to solve it..but you will also have case where only wiper motor dont work..even with good ground conection on original wire..IF you take a close look on wiper motor conection you will see that groun conection dont enter in motor with wire..so open this plastic under conector search for small cooper trace solder wire on it put on nearest ground and motor is good again,,this winter I solve at least 5 wiper motor,,so when I say switch I was meant on swith under wiper conector ..park switch..or how ever you call it..
rover??? night mare they tow this car to me after 8 months have been parked in somebody backyard..so I need some compresion riser..I will try trick with oil ..remove injectors put few liters of oil(ok maybe few drops) crank and try to tow with some caterpillar tractor..
I will post results dont wory

8 MONTHS - should have left it where it died.
OH no idea on this engine, but might not have enough oil pressure to open hydralic lifters to open the valves.
IF easy remove the rocker cover and see if pouring little oil works.
The fact no start with easy-start is bad news.
