How much hard drive space?

Hi all, just wondering what format does the 600 record in. I have one lying here basically as a 500 and want to stick a hard drive in. 2.5" IDE drives aren't as cheap as their SATA friends so was just going to get a 160gb one.

How much do you reckon the 160gb will hold via recording?

160g will hold approx. 80 hours of recordings on standard definition.
