hi im my ps3 system is banned and i beleive its the mac address, i have done alot of research and theres not much info, many people are saying you can't do anything about it but last night someone told me there is a by pass for this where you reset the mac address of your ps3 system to 00........ and i think its done through your computer, does anyone know how to do this? thanks

Your MAC address is only used on your local network. It allows the machine to identify itself in order to get an IP address. This has NO effect on any ability to plan on the PSN. The PSN does not even "see" that mac address. Unless your PS3 is DIRECTLY connected to the internet, what PSN (and anyone else) sees is the ip (and some more information) from your router on the internet.

When you are banned from someplace like PSN or XboxLIVE, they generally ban the serial number of the CONSOLE. This is nothing you can change.

However, IF it says the ID is blocked, you might be able to try creating another PSN account. See if that works.
