you dont have to erase, its not v3 or v6 chip? or I'am i wrong? Just change like normal on bmw e46...

I think what he means is that he uses the Codiprog to erase the 35080 instead of using a new one.

Markony79 all you need to do is get a old 35080 that is erasable, then re-use over and over again for ever 35080 job, easy.
Read original, save, put saved dump in old 35080 and change value, save again, then put into any write once 35080 be it V6, VP or 080DW, works every time. With Dp3 you will notice that it never writes the first 4 bytes, so this sometimes gives a false reading, if this happens look at the dump and manually edit these 4 bytes.

With dp3 if you read original eeprom with dp3 save data then put a blank 35080 in the clip then go to new value enter new value dp3 will write the original data and the new mileage to the chip basically enables you to use write once eeproms because you are not writing mileage in new chip and then trying to change it,use this method all day everyday.

I feel silly this seems so useful, but i didnt catch it.. So you Read > Back up > Switch the C12 to a new m35080 chip, write new mileage... so the data is on the new chip? .. sorta of lost from there.

Hold on, so you mean get an m35080 thats erasable, so you copy dump from original, put original dump on 'spare chip' change the mileage on your spare chip. Copy the dump on 'spare chip' rewrite the chip on board with the 'new dump'?

Hi, you've lost me on this one because doesn't the DP3 re-write the full old data set back in to the new chip? Then tries to erase, then re-write the new miles ?

Read it carefully and you will understand

1.Read eeprom
2.insert new mileage in dp3
3.before you press ok, change the eeprom for a new 1
4.dp3 writes data to eeprom with new mileage, saves time cuz the chip is already empty

@dashradio im not sure if the above method is true but in theory should work

1.Find an original [not chinese copy]35080 3 or 35080 6

2. solder this into an adapter plug to suit your programmer, this can be used over and over whenever you have a 35080 etc to do,

3.save the data from the 35080 vp etc on desktop or wherever

4.load this data into your newly made 35080 dongle whatsit.

5. change the data using the new 35080 dongle whatsit

6.save the data on desktop etc

7.load the data onto a new blank chinese 35080

8. put the chinese chip back on the board
