Yes Tony is back today but can`t reply to me as he`s in a meeting , i`ve had an on going problem since well before christmas with 1 faulty DM500 ( serial port dead)
After sending it straight back (motherboard only) to Tony ,waited over a month for the replacement motherboard which was not the same as i sent out and because of that it doesn`t fit back in the case, the position of the scart socket and rgb don`t match up and the back panel has to be left off.
I did try it and it flased ok with pli jade, but next day it froze and won`t turn off with the button or remote, tried to reflash again and now getting errors half way through.
Hope Tony will just send out a replacement instead of asking me to send the motherboard back ,wait for it to arrive and wait for him to send out another motherboard,

Yes i`ve tried it and get this far
16:24:20 box type: DM500
16:24:29 Ping result: OK, box is alive and speaking to us ;-)
16:24:34 Found no valid jffs2 in image, flash-erase not supported
16:24:34 Uploading file to box...
16:28:48 ERROR , upload aborted!
When i did manage a new flash of pli Jade it seemed fine but then freezes when scanning a satellite.

I've had the same trouble using Dreamup.
In the end this was the only version worked for me >>> Digital Kaos - Downloads - Dreamup 1.3.3.4 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/other/8/dreamup-1-3-3-4-1203/)

Have you selected or deselected the LAN in dreamup, as i know if you enable lan for fast flashing and the ip's are wrong you get the aborted error message

Thanks for all the good advice ,but it`s going back to Tony on monday!
I tried 3 different versions of dreamup, a tested null modem cable, different images, image erase . Every flash i tried failed after about 5 mins ,then when you do a ping test it fails .
If you reset the box and connect to dreamup again the ping test is o.k.
