virging hd = acess to 1 HD Channel (BBC HD)

sky hd = acess to 28 HD Channels (subscription dependant)

Virgin+HD box has free HD TV Series in the on demand section as well as HD movies (PPV), also has BBC iPlayer on board which Sky does not..

I've got Virgin+ HD box.. i think its great.. i wouldnt watch half the crap on sky HD anyway

Sky HD channel list (http://packages.sky.com/hd/explorehdchannels/)

You could pick up all the sats but the box has no decryption software so no point.
