Hi, everyone. I have bought a 7 year old low mileage 206cc however I had to change all the pads and discs as well the tyres as although the car was hardly used all the parts seem to be the originals so obviously are coming up for replacement at some point. I suspect the automatic fluid also needs a top up as although there is no automatic gearbox fault message at all it occasionally slips under acceleration (again with no fault showing on the dashboard). I have read somewhere that it could be water that has gotten into the gearbox reservoir from underneath the battery tray but I really think it just needs a top up as obviously the car hasn't had this done before, I was also in heavy traffic and the engine temp rose quite badly into the red, I remedied this by putting on the air conditioning fan which pulled the temperature back down but I think this would have possibly dropped the level even further. Please could someone post a step by step guide or come up with the price that a Pug garage or specialist would charge? There is also a rattle from the front of the manifold when the car is started from cold which disappears after the car has driven for a mile or two. Anyone else encountered this? Apart from this it is a really nice car and I am not anti Peugeot in any way as they are usually very tuff and reliable. Thanks in advance!!!
