Hi guys, I know that the common way to connect a DM500C to a PC is using a router, or a direct crossovercable.
What I want to try doing is to connect it to a network switch instead. I've tried various combinations of checking/unchecking DHCP, setting IP addresses on the DM500C itself, rebooting etc, but still fail to connect or FTP to it when going through the network switch.
Directcrossover over seems to work (at least I can detect the Dreambox, although trying to get logged in is another issue for my other thread)
Anyone with insights to share? Thanks in advance!
