for ESL Repair I think they have a agreement with simontech. Simontech have the reading. From pass bevor Abrites and also the pass reading.
i know they work together. Ivo means they will check. It was in September of Frankfurt exhibition. If they will bring this Funktion, they have do it in the Update Januar 2017"

make the Eeprom to Wp. status - means lift pin Wp. And connect it to Pcb Massa )
i have in Dezember the Problem, that i do. this Job many time by a Audi A3 with AVDI . No chance to match ecu and dash
I have all the times two different PIN mac, immo I'd , VIN , CS Code will be match but not the PIN
NO mistake in dash no mistake in ECU BY This way

i have also trouble with Abrites . Since the christmass offer I ask for a price of full update up to date. Also I order the RR012. No answer and now the will the full prices without the christmass discount ... is this fair ?
a long time in the past I can read the pin form renault megane 3 after 2011". Than they create the new Funktion RR012 and i lost this Job. They say it was a mistake that all have the Funktion to read the pin for cars after 2011 cars . Ok can Look you like. They make after we are using it a new function RR012. Ok i acept it BUT Not that they don't make my order in the christmass action and now I should pay full.
Otherwise I ask in the time of christmass offers for a price to stock my AVDI to full and they don't answer with a price, no one will pay first RR012 and than i have to full payed after pay 650 Eur
please I think the team of Abrites must think like they were In our position, old good customers which spend 1000 of Eur for a tool with in all cases not perfect .

I think Abrites have a big mistake in thinking about the buisenes.
all off us check for every Funtion how much they will be earn with it.
like renault megane 3 after 2011 i think will be make 10 Cards a year for this Modells
i think all of us do not only make renault and not after 2011. A Renault Dealer will not use the AVDI . If a customer buy a carkey from him he take the renault clip to make the job.
No customers of us arrive 500 + kilometers to us.
So you must make 100 card s if you pay for one card 40 Eur and can do it for 149 Eur . Internet Price on eBay.
So good , BUT after latest 2 years Abrites changed the Funktion numbers or create a new one. No one of us have earn so much that the old function is payed. You do this one ore two time, than not any more. You buy a other tool.
this politic is starting for 2 years ago. Than they can calculate when the time is coming where now one buy any more .
please Abrites Team check it for your self. I mean a good buiseness is only if everyone be happy

Clc i has old technology eis from w203 not w204.
Remove eis inside is 9s12 and do it the old fashioned way.. or if you have v57 key then get key pass from it...

I have done this by making ESL virgin fist.
Also if you can, purchase a used ESL for vehicle make virgin plug in vehicle, get password. When done just plug back into original.
This is not very hard to virgin ESL, just makes things easier to have extra ESL as virgin.

I have done this by making ESL virgin fist.
Also if you can, purchase a used ESL for vehicle make virgin plug in vehicle, get password. When done just plug back into original.
This is not very hard to virgin ESL, just makes things easier to have extra ESL as virgin.

If you are using a working key, I find once password extracted, the working key no longer works with original esl until you virginise and program it. So might as well just virginse the one on the vehicle in the first place.
But if using ir adapter as you say its easier just to plug in an already virginised one.

I had a similar issue with a w203 yesterday. was trying to read the password & its kept saying connect db25 pin 8 to lin which I did then the message on screen kept flickering, eventually I tried just pulling the IR reader out of the EIS & it said 1 of 8129, then each time I pulled it out it went up....................I couldnt sit there & do it 8000 times.....

Of course reading on bench is way faster. We here in the US don't have it so easy with the extra support bars in dash to meet crash safety laws.
It's a lot harder to remove EIS for then the vehicles meant for European market.
So we'd rather wait for the 1- 8000 to hit.
Personally I love when when other shops bring me EIS already removed from vehicle.
I read with 9x12 and load dump to Abrites and easy job you right.
For us challenge is removal of EIS... Usually not so quick.

Guys had a Peugeot 1007 2006 1.6 petrol, been asked by garage to replace ecu..long story short transponder was lost. Made new transponder programmed it but lost remote now. I can,t program the remote any more but was working before. Any thoughts?

Remote and transponder are linked, even though they are separate.
You cant change the transponder then program the remote back in.
Easiest option is a new key.

Open your license vwier and you will see, also start Subaru commander and pushed regular key programming and you will see you not allowed to move on because you missed license, I wrote to you before that this new policy of abrites to combined old functions to one new function will make us lose everything you paid till today - in Subaru they took your license and in vag and others they will not give you updates anymore. Rest y case, no more money to abrites.

page 8 of this page on main abrites website , scroll down to bottom of page, statement is still on abrites website , clearly states that non smart key programming on listed models 2008 to 2013 is free for all avdi owners , no confusion , no misunderstanding , in black and white , no double meanings , free to all avdi owners .

so by all means charge for new coverage and functions , but what was given free should stay as such , it doesnt say free for trial period , free for 1 year etc , it says free for all avdi owners , clear as day. , and only free for those with a paid for ams as only they get updates , so not entirely free to all avdi owners , only those with ams .
this is the main abrites site and the statement of free to all avdi owners was made by abrites on their website as well as their distributors websites .
perhaps a mistake by abrites to remove this from its customers , so maybe restore it on next update , maybe ?

well their own announcement on their website and their distributors sites was crystal clear , the stated key programming was free to all owners of avdi with ams , to take this away and now charge is very unethical , i would say borders on breaking some consumer laws or rules in some countries too . It certainly antagonises their once loyal customers and doesnt fill customers with confidence .
but im sure AlekN can answer on if this is a mistake and if this function will be given back to those that got it free as per their announcement on their own website a year ago. Im sure everyone is happy to pay for any new coverage and functionality , but not many will be happy paying for coverage they owned last month , after all AlekN did state that nothing would be lost thats already owned after new updates ?
im hoping its just a mistake or misunderstanding by abrites and they correct this to save alienating their once loyal customers , even they can be squeezed too much and pushed too far , as reading various forums there seems to be alot of people unhappy at the way existing customers get squeezed for more to generate new income streams , their comments not mine , lets hope abrites understand that we dont have an endless stream of cash for them and that many are going elsewhere already , loyalty and relationship is 2 way .
so please AlekN , look at this and explain if avdi owners will be getting this function back and if you intend honouring the announcement on your own website a year ago ?

Yes I do have FN017, I paid for this because in your description it states 'FIAT DUCATO TILL 2016', the vehicles I have tried it on are all fiat ducatto's but with a different badge on the front, same ECU and BSi, so is there any explanation for why this is not working? AND, more importantly, why do you state that it works when it dont?
What do you mean a Fiat Ducato with a different badge??? If you are saying a dodge promaster is the same, you need to check out the electronics.... It's different...

OMG, today I had to purchase Subaru... $550.00 Made a key for a 2016 Impreza, all keys lost... Dealer wanted $750.00 and a tow to the dealer and three days to get it done... Took 12 minutes to reset BIU, and a minute to program the key... Soooooo, all of you whining about having to buy Subaru... Please, don't buy it... I hate having competition who lowers my prices.... You guys just keep telling folks to go to the dealer.. or climb under that dash and pull the BIU and the cluster and the ECU.... And I will laugh all the way to the bank...
Oh wait, I need to get the obligatory cheap shot at AlekN here... Alek, when are you going to get VAG done and then give it away for free????

I ended up doing the same thing, pulled the EIS out which is pretty easy over here, no extrusion bars & made a key on the bench. I'm told the 8000 key insertions is a bug that will be fixed

You are right... At the begining it was free updates for life... It still is.. as long as you have an AMS... I am just a locksmith who uses the shit out of this software... I do alot of shops who try and put new/used parts on cars and don't know you have to adapt them to the car.. I also help out guys who get Abrites here in the states.. I actually make videos and post them on youtube to try and help others who are going thru the same shit I have gone thru... Do the same thing for MBE software... Talk about no info... Just as other people have said before, there is no perfect aftermarket software... But be a realist, what other multi car software out there can do as much as Abrites??? I have Autel, I have Launch, I have a bunch of chinese diag tools.. So my question to people who are having troubles is this, have you documented the trouble you are having? have you saved snippets? have you made a video using something like screencastomatic and sent the info and the logs to Abrites and stated what the problem was???? Try being positive and see what happens...

You are right... At the begining it was free updates for life... It still is.. as long as you have an AMS... I am just a locksmith who uses the shit out of this software... I do alot of shops who try and put new/used parts on cars and don't know you have to adapt them to the car.. I also help out guys who get Abrites here in the states.. I actually make videos and post them on youtube to try and help others who are going thru the same shit I have gone thru... Do the same thing for MBE software... Talk about no info... Just as other people have said before, there is no perfect aftermarket software... But be a realist, what other multi car software out there can do as much as Abrites??? I have Autel, I have Launch, I have a bunch of chinese diag tools.. I tried to read that but it was a massive block of text and it hurt my eyes!
I love the way the new VAG special functions works.
If you have all of the key learning modules BUT ONE, you don't have the full package for VAG key learning (VN003) and you will not receive any more updates
for any of the existing modules you have bought because you don't have every module that makes up VN003.
"Free for all owners of the VN003 special function"
I wonder how that will work in the future, if a new module for Golf 7 keys comes out, will it be "Free for all owners of the VN003 special function"?
Will it F**k.
What you will get is having to buy that module before you can get any more updates on modules you have already paid for as your VN003 will now not be complete.

OMG, today I had to purchase Subaru... $550.00 Made a key for a 2016 Impreza, all keys lost... Dealer wanted $750.00 and a tow to the dealer and three days to get it done... Took 12 minutes to reset BIU, and a minute to program the key... Soooooo, all of you whining about having to buy Subaru... Please, don't buy it... I hate having competition who lowers my prices.... You guys just keep telling folks to go to the dealer.. or climb under that dash and pull the BIU and the cluster and the ECU.... And I will laugh all the way to the bank...

Try to use abprog on bmw eep to be erased.good luck i have try and 4 out of 5 will not work..
Go to make dealer key for passat and find 7th by obd.i try last two cars its giving wrong 7th byte have to use extract from working key.
Last week done mileage on 13transit its displaying wrong mileage on the screen.
And many more little things.
I dont even mention diagnostic end of it.
But i still think its ok.just they have to start doing more bug fixing.

i would never call an individual or company a cheat , nor would i slag off their work , thats not who i am or how i operate .
what i am concerned about just as others with large investments in avdi is ;
1) free functions recieved like suburu as part of ownership and having ams being taken away 11 months later , fine to charge for the updated version to take in new coverage but owners should keep what they owned last month .
2) we asked questions on VN003 release and how this affects current owners regarding updates and purchase of future licences , fair questions considering past situations .
3) bug fixes do seem to be slow , still plenty of bugs to fix .
4) issues with previous working software no longer working after update
5) moving goal posts , whats free today isnt tomorow , what you own today you dont tomorow , etc
most of us have and use all or most functions daily , we have all spent a great deal of money to get this , and use it every day , its a good tool and a must have for most , but this doesnt make income generating licence jiggles ok , we all have costs and all have to make money , and all have invested in avdi to achieve this , now 2 way loyalty , honesty , fixed goal posts is not too much to ask for . most of the complaints with avdi seem to center around , bug fixing , jiggling licences , unclear descriptions on charges and new directions , you dont see many slating what the tool does well of course .
no one begrudges them making money and charging for new coverage , this is expected and fair , but existing customers do expect clarity and im sure would all love to be happy customers sharing the same passion as abrites , you are right abrites do have thousands of customers , so to jiggle a licence that forces them to pay another ?300 each generates a great deal of money , do this a few times a year and it is a great income generator . im not saying this is the case or the reason for licence jiggles , but without clarification for reasons then people are left to their own thoughts.
abrites know that many are not happy , sometimes they respond and sometimes not , this is there choice and decision to make , for my part i just dont like ever moving goal posts without explanation . i like the tool and have never slated it , its manufacturer or anyone working for them , i ask questions i would like an answer too if i dont understand something or if i disagree with something , but always in a polite manner , doesnt often get me answers , but i dont and wont change a polite approach. what i will change if i dont like something is how i invest in the future .

Well said.but looks like it dose not matter to abrites.i would think that this thread would be very handy for abrites how people look at them and what they think of them and what avdi owners have trouble with.
I use my avdi every day and its good tool.just there is few problems with it like any other tool will have.
What i would like to be change is start fixing bugs and if i send logs to support make it fix that day or day latter and update the software. and dont be taking functions away that we had last September.
I dont mind paying for new special functions..we charge customers for r work so dont expect getting new things for free from abrites.
Like AlekN said he dose not menage Abrites company so there is no point giving him hard time couse it will change nothing.

thats the same reason i have not invested in zedfull , what IEA and their distributors did and how they treated their loyal zedbull customers was diabolical and unethical , because of this and the likleyhood they will do the same again i wont invest in zedfull end of.
cryptoworks did the same thing , vanished for years leaving their customers with dead units that couldnt be updated online to work , so wasted investment .
this is a worry with many diag makers , even abrites , we have to synch our avdi every 30 days to keep it working , it has a battery that if it dies so do the unit , all good at present as simple to synch online and if you have extended warranty then battery replaced if it dies , no problem . but if for what ever reason abrites close , within 30 days none of us have a working investment any longer , which is a worry . im not saying they will do this like crypto works and iea did , but its a possibility .
i dont want a witch hunt , i would appreciate some honest answers and some clarity to the questions asked about suburu , mitsi not working etc , fixed goalposts and clarity so we all know where we stand as the current situation seems to be worsening rather than improving .

I'm trying to adapt a completely virgin RB8 cluster (audi a4 8e 2006) that came from dealer in status 1 and VIN reads as "XXXXXXX".
I can read the one from car perfectly.
On K-line special function I did:
-Read eeprom from original and save backup. Read "keys" and save.
-Read eeprom from new and save backup. Read "keys" and save.
-Write "keys" from original on new.
-Changed manually status from 1 to 6.
At this point I thought it would already start car with new cluster, but I still have immo error on ECU.
VIN was still "XXXXXXX" in the new cluster, I changed directly on eeprom and wrote, it accepted without errors but not sure if this is how I should do it.
Can someone guide me what I have to do next, or upload the most recent VAG manual. (I was using my friends avdi and don't have it here)
A manual from 2015 says I have to: "Please note that in order to start the engine you need to adjust the component protection data in the ECU too." How exactly do I do this?

No i did buy direct from abrites, 10k full package, update later more 2k for toyota and ford, and paying ams every year .after this they start to come up with new function every month and now my tool not getting any major update for somthing like 2 years. I learn my lesson after this and I not buying any more updates for now. Also my ams doesn't look important for now.
Support should be free for somebody that pay ams I think.
At least free forum under company website like a any normal business.
I don't see this attitude in less expensive tools. If they think they are too unique to give proper support they are wrong. If I was starting my business today I will definitely will not choose abrites.

What will happen with abrites in the future is not clear in my point of view, and now chip China tools can copy almost all transponders in the market. So basically it's just good for all keys lost on some very new cars. Or for vary busy locksmiths.

there are different levels of AMS , in fairness this is clearly stated on kaps website , its not as clear on the main abrites website , but it is very clear on kaps website .
1) AMS - this is just updates and online services and the facility to buy new functions , it clearly states no support included ?189 a year
2) Basic Plan - this is AMS plan with basic support by email and access to knowledge base and forum ?299 a year
3) Priority Plan- this includes everything in the basic and AMS plan plus quicker priority online support , remote pc access , premium videos and extended warranty ?399 a year
4) secure plan - everything in the above 3 plus insurance against loss or theft of avdi so you get a new avdi with all your owned licences ?599 per year
sadly you cant take them to task on support help as on kaps forum at least it is very clear and upfront with regards costs and support as it should be , abrites own site is less clear , but kaps is as clear as it can be so i cant see issue there.
it was once free , then it was not , this is no different to others , AD , Zedfull support must be paid for annually via hickleys in uk , no pay no support , most are going this way .
i suspect you have the AMS only without support included , and their answer was to prompt you to upgrade this to a support plan .
i agree with some of the recent decisions being wrong , the issues regarding non working functions since update , the taking away of suburu which was once owned are wrong and the questioning for answers is justified , sadly till now with no response from AlekN which is dissapointing , especially as their own website and kaps still have the statement where we was all given suburu key programming and diagnostics free , thus is a justified argument , but the ams plans coverage and support levels are clearly stated on kaps site so an argument isnt as easily justified, whether we agree with the ams levels or not , they do make these clear upfront.
im not defending abrites or kap , im as updet about recent changes as everyone , but we cant brand them cheats for something thats clearly stated upfront , most of the anger is out of frustration at no replies and moving goal posts and im sure with answers there would be less frustration , but also when some of the insults have obviously offended AlekN personally , i can sort of understand his reluctance to discuss this with us on forum , no one likes to be insulted .

if they keep changing the goal posts, then deduct software and charge us for it, and to have it back charge us for it! , we can safely call them cheats, like zbull team, etc, like many others, if they provide a good WORKING software, we all WILL buy, and PAY.
With regards to Alek, he is only here because his bosses told him to be here, they were ONCE a famous company, now they are "infamous", thanks to this Google able post!.
With regards to the bugs, I guarantee, nothing will gets fixed! do you know why? because most of their works originally comes from a third party, if they fix it, Abrites will fix it. but when he comes and tells us that his close friend is fiat specialist, that is insult to our intelligence, because we know where it comes from!.

im not opposed to differing views , just i myself wont be involved in name calling as i dont believe it ever resolves an issue , and provokes a similar reaction . its obvious that the name calling approach has achieved no answers and no solution to issues , sadly it also seems a polite approach hasnt resulted in any answers or solutions . it does remind me of politics and politicians , i politely asked clear specific questions but recieved no straight answers either, which is a shame .
if im unhappy with a supplier i wont name call them , il just alter my investment , if need be il look at legal recourse if an option , i had issues with IEA , i dont name call them i just no longer invest with them or their distributor over the issue i had with them, i used to advise their kit and know of at least 50 that bought from being advised , i no longer advise their products, they wont care of course as im just 1 customer , but had 500 customers not reinvested in zedfull they may have had a rethink , name calling just vents frustration but doesnt yield results , name calling wont resolve issues , sadly it seems nor will a polite approach , so holding back on investing will have more impact i suspect , but face it not much unless done on mass which i cant see happening in an industry where no one has ever managed to come together and stick together .
im not critising those that like to call names etc , we are all frustrated and unhappy with them , this just isnt something i would ever get involved in as we all do things differently and act differently and deal with frustration and anger in different ways .

there are different levels of AMS , in fairness this is clearly stated on kaps website , its not as clear on the main abrites website , but it is very clear on kaps website .
1) AMS - this is just updates and online services and the facility to buy new functions , it clearly states no support included ?189 a year
2) Basic Plan - this is AMS plan with basic support by email and access to knowledge base and forum ?299 a year
3) Priority Plan- this includes everything in the basic and AMS plan plus quicker priority online support , remote pc access , premium videos and extended warranty ?399 a year
4) secure plan - everything in the above 3 plus insurance against loss or theft of avdi so you get a new avdi with all your owned licences ?599 per year

i always got answer to my email even negative reponse like ... this not supported ?? supported soon ???
maybe they ignore bad written mails or their server make some user spam

I had few question and need it help from KAP few times. But to be honest they always answer me and once they helped me with tv and i don't have support. only valid ams. Look thinks are getting changed in the world...they are the best and can do what they want with there product. If we don't like it we don't buy it...but we like it to much... and some of us been spoield with very good prices 10k for full and now because they worked and improved there tool are asking for more which at the end of the day from business point of view is normal. Today volvo is 500 next year maybe 2000..because they improve. But let me tell about about an different tool which use to be the best before avdi. Was perfect tool at the time for programing ecu,updates.etc.for 30k or something my ex boss bought it, 4 years later tool come down 2twice cheaper and does nothing like use to do it before is only an diagnostic with support and he paid 30k 4 yars ago now cant program an abs pump without passthru. So i think avdi is been fair so far. I use avdi14 months so far

One more feature was taken away, Now you have to spend 200 euros on Distribution Box to calibrate miles in EDC/MED17 , before this function was free and we could use our own tool which all of us made to be able to read EDC17/MED17.
Now they force you to buy stupid Box , which cost most 50 euros and they want 200 euros, COMMON for what 200 Euros?????
ALEK N you really should talk to your team and allow this function to be use with other tools like we made for our self's .This is same thing they did for AUDI smart keys one time , they block users to use original keys, they wanted you to buy only AVDI keys at some point, then they put it back.

YEs, i spend few grand on ad100 too ,when they had the catch up package, they are catching up fast with avdi. never had any problem with ad, but they have to move faster, we hope.

i think many have invested in ad100 pro coverage and xhorse kit after recent events , i can see the logic with vvdi 2 as by all accounts its similar coverage on vag and bmw for far less and updated free , ive heard good things on vvdi mb tool to , so the cheaper costs for similar coverage will eventually make it hard for some to get payback on avdi , but i have avdi and am lucky it has paid back over years , but had i been just investing now id have to think hard on where my money is best spent.
i like avdi an have faith in the unit , i just wish abrites were more considerate to their existing customers rather than just the new ones , and would fix their goal posts as continous new costs for little becomes tiresome especially considering what many of us have invested in their unit .
when ever i ask questions of advanced diagnostics and truecode i always get full honest answers , when ever new licences are released they never have an impact on older licences and they never take away functions that were once free , you keep what you own , abrites would do well to be more like them as far as customer service is concerned , i like what abrites do but they could look after their loyal long term customers far better than they do and develop new coverage and bug fixes rather than new ways to drag a little more out of us for little to no benefit .
i still hope they do some great promotions for existing customers , fix bugs in their kit and start looking after existing customers , and stay at the top for years to come , maybe i hope for too much.

thats an impossible question to answer accurately , every programmer is the best if it fits your needs and makes you money . once you know the coverage you need , ie makes models and years then you find the correct unit for your needs , if you see mainly old models your needs are very different to someone in a more afluent area who sees mainly newest models , if you see low end models or only high end models the best kit is very different again.
will you need help and support , if so some programmers have this and some do not .
one thing i can say with confidence is you will need alot more than just 1 programmer , as all have their bugs and issues and each has some coverage the next does not , the more options you have the better .

looks like we are to get another avdi update this month as well , the good news is it answers some of the questions surrounding vag , it says for owners of VN003 but also states owners of AN050 etc still get update too as includes old licences . so maybe they have listened . its obvious they have listened on vag as made the announcement very clear that owners of AN050 and AN048 get this update to confirming old licences still get relevent updates which ansers the questions we asked on this clearly , a positive that ends that speculation at least.
under suburu , its states diag update is free for all owners with ams , be interesting to see if we get the key programming back as before .
so maybe they have listened after all , fingers crossed , either way its far more positive than it was last week and maybe peace can be restored.
now look forward to the updates , 2 updates in 4 weeks is good news especially if a sign of things to come .

Has anyone done range rover evoque prox 2012 with avdi? this one is petrol, and the owner says it hasn't been to range rover since new, I programmed the remote, then the key, the problem is the remote works, but when you sit in the car you have to wait one minute, before it allows the engine to start.
However if you press the unlock botton once, she will run straight away, this was a lost key situation, has anyone else had this? or are they build like this?
ps, tried it with skp900, but it asks for 2 remotes to be programmed!!!

Hi mate, all sorted now, yes it was working without the batt. too, I found out if you open close the door with remote, the car starts as it should, however if you open the door with the emergency key, you have to wait a minute or 2, before starting is allowed!

In fairness most of the questions i asked were answered in the new update announcement , making it very clear that AN licences still recieve the updates , very positive and well done to abrites team for making this clearer in the announcent , saves the misconceptions followed by speculation and anger that confusion creates .
the only question that has not been answered in announcement or on here is of course the upset surrounding suburu licence , as per last years announcement on the abrites website key programming on listed models was free to all owners of avdi with an ams , yet this has been taken away at present , is this a mistake and this will be restored on next update or has this been taken away now ? a clear answer on this will im sure kill off speculation and i hope restore peace and return the thread to technical issues , so please can we put this issue to bed one way or other .

i did think that if golf 7 was released there would have been more made of it as big announcement , im sure if golf mk7 was released then it would be hailed from the roof tops , also i doubt very much it would be a free update from anyone .

SB001 is key learning for subaru..it was free but now is in the sb001 license.
Thats answer form abrites ltd.to me any way.
In didn't ask if in future will be returned but from the conversation i understood that wont be free.

if the case that is dissapointing , after all it was a function that was given free to all with an ams , ams isnt free and is paid for so was seen as a perk of keeping ams up to date . it was announced on their website as free to all with a valid ams . this if the case would fall foul of some consumer laws in some countries im sure as if something is free then it is free , upgrades can be charged for of course but to take away a previously free function advertised as free with ams is not good conduct .
in many ways its better not to advertise something as free if you plan to take it back at a later date , its very unethical if the case , and i stress " IF THE CASE " as no answer from alekn as yet .
i know if i do a promotion and give a free std key with every remote key , i cant take it back once given free and i still have an obligation to guarantee it even if i offer it free .
i will await an answer on this from alekn , as the abrites website and the distributor websites were very clear a year ago when this was announced as free for all abrites owners with valid ams , alekn can give a definitive answer im sure .

the speculation that caused anger on the thread initially was it was unclear in the jan update announcement whether the an licences would still get updates , as announcement said free to owners of VN003 , it was assumed that all VN003 licences would be needed to continue getting updates . this is not the case as has now been confirmed that AN licences still get the updates , so it killed the speculation on this and made it clear , thus those concerned about this were happy.
suburu is another issue , and yes if this has just been taken away its wrong , and sets an unwanted precedent and questions with the other free functions like suzuki and landrover that were free with ams , will these be taken away next ? but whats the point in getting angry and calling them names until we get a difinitive answer from alekn of whether this is the case or if just an error that will be rectified on next update .
if it is the case then yes we have good reason to be angry , and i would never buy it out of principle , but if a mistake and we get it back and only have to pay for the updated version of it then theres no issue , but until we get a factual answer from alekn , no one knows for sure.
if it turns out you lose it , then name calling wont resolve it , only litigation can resolve it , but litigation is expensive , however enough people getting together and starting litigation as a large group can work out affordable , id certainly be tempted to raise the matter with trading standards and the advertising authorities in uk , as breaks both their rules as advertised clearly as free on their website and their distributors websites , i have kept screen shots in case removed , another advantage of group litigation is if you win your case it sets a legal precedent which prevents such unethical actions being done again in the future.
but its all speculation until alekn answers factually which i hope he will as it may just be a mistake that will be rectified .

ive kept screen shots of both abrites and kap site , both are still their on both sites and still clearly state its free , page 9 on abrites site under news about our products and under news and suburu on kaps site , so we can all get screen shots simply.
i have also kept screenshots of the land rover and suzuki being free for all users with ams .
i have absolutely no objection to paying for new functions , but not for what i already owned , this was advertised as free to all avdi owners , as to get this you had to have a valid ams , then it was a perk of ams and as advertised free was free and now owned by those with ams , so should never have been taken away again.
litigation and complaining to authorities like trading standards or advertising authority should always be a last resort if all communication attempts fail , im sure alekn can clarify whether we will get this back and its all a mistake that is easily rectified , or not , but we should give him the opportunity without abuse to look into it and answer factually , it may still be a lot of fuss over nothing .
even if the answer given turns out not to be the one we hoped for , abusing alekn achieves nothing and its not him your angry with , you then decide if dropping it or if to pursue it legally as at end of day these are the only 2 options you will have , other than investing elsewhere in the future of course which is a 3rd option.

They could easily remove this legally for instance they allow everyone to keep the programming untill the end of their AMS then next AMS they make it clear no free subaru programming.

I wouldn't worry too much about AVDI and Subaru, I have the latest update and have tried it on two cars and this was the end result.
On all the late model Subaru I have tried it on, it has disabled all of the cars and I needed another tool to bring the car back to life.
This is on all keys lost and spare keys 2012+ G key and keyless go.
It's like the Toyota update where they say they can do all keys lost on key-less go using their special adapter, that too is rubbish.
I have the update and the adapter and it's always a failure and I personally know another locksmith who killed an IS250 using it, it was not able to be done by eeprom, data was corrupted by AVDI.
When Abritus release a new function, they always say "Can do all keys lost to ALL models using keyless go" then the next 3 updates are all bug fixes and adding more models to the module.
Hang on, if it works with ALL MODELS then why are they adding more models to it?
YES I have all the Toyota updates, YES I have all the Subaru updates, am I game to use them on a car?
Nope, I have no faith in the updates because they use us for testing.
Maybe in a years time when it's a bit more stable it might be worth a look but for now I would watch and see.

The main problem of this company is that they don't understand what words mean, for example:
FREE updates for them not means all the time and without paing but means buy AMS!
FREE to all users with active AMS not means we give you extra function for free bacause you are loyal client and pay ams though we promise that somting like ams never com out but means today we give you and tomorrow we take you and give us money
ALL not means every models/software version/years/etc but means models they see or working with (like they do BMW 2 they test it on BMW bike not on car and next 80% not working and killing modeules after flash)
Mayby we do fundraiser and buy them Bulgarian-English Dictionary?
FREE means FREE no matter what! If you don't understund what FREE means don't use this ~~~~ing word!
Sometimes i ask them that this version of car is supported and he always say YES next i program key and avdi fails and then i have broken new key and sometimes also don't working car - they talking to me that i'm idiot and can't program keys - next after 1-3 months he relesed update for this not working function.
They don't respect me, I will don't respect them!

its not possible to argue against points , as all are the experience of many of us , none of us seem to be considered important to our suppliers , only new customers seem important till they become old customers.
in fairness its not just them , when you reach the point you become one of the top 3 in your field , a certain arrogance tends to display itself , greed creeps in and the attitude that your bigger and better than your customers so can do what you like , but as many have found in this trade , no one stays in top 3 for ever , and as cryptoworks found , alienate your customers and there may be no way back with them.
In an ideal world you buy you own , you buy and what you buy works as advertised , ours is far from an ideal world sadly.
like whiskyman i would prefer to see bugs fixed in existing licences than some of the new releases , but bug fixes i suspect are low priority as these dont make new money , im lucky my avdi has paid back on what does work well , and some licences i can only praise them on , for now the positives still outweigh the negatives , but thats my case and i appreciate not same for everyone .
if im honest , i suspect we have lost suburu , the lack of response speaks volumes , thus we adjust our investment stratergy and only invest in what we know works with them and divert other money into alternate products . trades always been the same and most manufacturers have similar issues , none are perfect , it doesnt excuse how old customers are treated , just confirms we can rely on no one at end of day.

For B7 you need to read EDC17 through BOOT mode to get CS and PIN. It can't be done by OBDII like B6. but i was testing once AVDI on B7 2011, and read successfully CS through OBDII. so i presumed it will work well on all Passat B7. Maybe this one from 2012 have something different.

This car programs different from B7. Try Instrument CAN. It should work by OBD no problem if you have one working key. Put cluster into boot mode, add key, return from boot mode....done.

Anybody read edc17 boot mode via zn051 distribution box yet? The instructions in the manual have me a bit confused ...there is a white wire on the db-15 cable that is clearly labeled "boot" but according to manual ecu boot goes directly to gnd cable...

Hello mate,I do not have it license VN004 say please if you have been successful with this license read cs and pin.
For any Passat with ID48 is much easy to read eeprom of CCM , and post here in DK to get CS and pin.
Once you have CS and Pin, just precode key and adopt it with VCDS.

How about people that buy first vesrion of distribution shit with relay for 200 Euro? must pay next 200 euro?
BTW on picture i see that this distribution shit is very low quality - i don't know why this cost 200 euro - it's only plastick shell shit and few wires and of course resistors for 10 euro cents.
Volvo still update firmware every time i'm run program.

ive not had a vag edc15 to try since update , if not working then this is a concern as a very common ecu to encounter , luckily i have multiple other options but thats not the point .
whats failing to read ? ie unable to read to get pin code using engine control unit function ?
if the case then this is a poor situation as worked great before updates , ive not had one to test this on since update so can only voice concern on what im reading , if the case are abrites aware and working to restote this Alekn ? as not a good advert for equipment , i can understand bugs in new licences in early releases but not in previously working functions ? do the updates get tested before released upon us ?
in view of the issues highlighted you must appreciate answers are needed , and you did say in your earlier post that anyone with technical problems should post and your team will work to resolve them here , well id say if correct and some previously working functions are no longer working then this constitutes technical problems wouldnt you.
im hoping that those that have experienced these failures have raised support tickets and sent log files making your team aware of the issues and that you are already working on fixing these ?

~Right i am not normally one to complain as i think sometimes people like to moan for the fun of it on here....
but i just tried to go to a 2008 lost key 204 connected all okay if you go in as no relay option the counter will start going up but if i chose the one with relay option it wont go up!!! i think this is because i dont have Distribution Box

Hair-raising head as I read the last few pages of this topic.
I have AVDI with the majority of full licenses of all brands. I have no way to test everything up to date, but I can see that with each update something wanes.
Especially diminished customer confidence in the company Abrites :(
Now I see why today do not have their own forum on the Abrites site.
They can not keep up with the answers.
For several years, I look forward to the opportunity to do Component Protection in cars with a new type of Gateway module. (Of course, instead of a free update will appear as a new option for 1000 euros. :( )
Now I have to buy it for distribution shit that looks like a box cobbled together by ten-year and costs more than a good programmer:(
Today regret buying AVDI.
Today, I would choose VVDI / FVDI.

i had put aside a significant amount of money to spend on some new avdi products , however in view of recent updates and issues , i will be hanging on to my investment longer to see how abrites react to the problems and issues in recent updates , it was my intention to stick with the abrites brand which i have always liked , but loyalty has been stretched recently , i wont rush into buying zedfull , vvdi products yet, as i would rather stick with what i know , but i will be hanging on to my money until i see how this unfolds as the situation is a long way from ideal.
i prefer to stick with avdi , and im sure i will do so long into the future , but before investing deeper i will see how this unfolds first as sensible .

i buy Protag new 800 Eur
every year AMS 500 EUR

so now for full I have to pay 6.450 Eur ( Februar 2017)
so every body can check themselves if it earn money or not. I buy it .

Keys are already BGA. AVDI requests virgin ESL. Many doubts ... No solution, has anyone had this?

is different by W203 old or newer. The old with Hc08 better to read by EZS programmer to extract. Because you have to put and put out some k times the key in and out.
newer ones you take only few minutes to read Passwort
i don't Test ist with new update
abd yes in some cases you have to vergin the ELV to do this job. No problem , after Job You firstly sync it again

We have a developer on the honda who is working on that.
The BMW 2 is available for cross platforms. I believe that when the rest of the software migrates to the new platform.
Passthru is not shit, passthru works with 2016 versions
Please note that software development requires time to develop a tool for you guys to use it.

BTW about forcing us to buy distribution shit i have a great idea for abrites, MAYBY YOU CAN DEVELOP WIRING WIDTH BIG BLACK DILDO (of cours minimal price 1 000 euro) and when we wroking on cars we must connect AVDI -> ABPROG -> BIG BLACK DILDO and PUT THIS IN OUR CLIENT ASS and only them PROGRAMMING WILL BE AVAILBLE? 6) EDC15 in psa flash reading NEVER WORKING - on abrites sitre is wrote that avdi car read/write flash on edc15

Mates, why your are not understanding ? It makes no sense to ask questions to alek on the forum. Alek only writes to sell new products and to make advertising or to show new videos, that customers want to buy their products. I asked many times for rom51 password read on older benz models for example. They make advertising with this function and i payed for this function, but it never worked in reality ! They are not interested to help current customers, they are only interested to sell their tools, cables and licences... Like i said before a few posts...no matter, if it would be a tool for a few hundred euros..but for a tool in AVDI price range, everything have to work 1000% and support, too.

Car is BMW E60, AVDI connects with both of it's softwares. Key is chinese and is blank and I couldn't find the option to prepare it before making it a dealer key, hence it was refused as non-suitable for the car.
It was a 5 minute job with the Xhorse BMW Multi tool, though...
Is there an option to prepare these keys with AVDI automatically or I must read the content of one prepared key and then write the data to all other keys manually through HITAG2?

everybody knows that bmw + avdi = shit, i have full bmw and must buy other tools for bmw because avdi is very weak in bmw
btw, i also must buy bmw explorer and for now everytime i use it to bmw allways work
so don't bother about avdi in bmw simply buy other tool and you be satisfied

in update Abrites Diagnostics for Peugeot/ Citroen 7.1 (http://www.abritus72.com/products/abrites-diagnostics/for-peugeot-citroen) they claim that can register after key learning . not tested yet , but SKP900 do it from long time if you want tested solution.

For any Passat with ID48 is much easy to read eeprom of CCM , and post here in DK to get CS and pin.
Once you have CS and Pin, just precode key and adopt it with VCDS. but i bought AVDI so i can do this job via OBDII. and this is second passat B7 i could not add new key, and i have one working key.
Can anyone confirm that Passat B7 2012, can be done in Instrument Can special function, than service mode by OBDII and add key? like adding key in Golf VI.
One member suggested that, is that safe to try?

This is not true, i made many china keys for cas3 and cas3+ , just read manual.

If you are talking about the part where it says I need to change some data - I read it. Problem is the chinese key was only FF's inside(except for the ID) and there was nothing to change. At least that's what AVDI displayed. Anyways - I changed UserData0 as in the manual but obviously it didn't help.
