5nf is a type of engine Ecu. The keys are not stored in engine Ecu????! There stored in body module !!!!!!!

Normally this kind of BSI doesn't suppose to be on a Punto. That's why there is no info.
And you don't need to desolder it just 4 wires and is done ;)

I still had to remove the bcm to see what chip was inside, as i diddnt want to try to read it as wrong bcm, incase i damaged it (spare key job), so is there anyway that we can tell what type of bsi it is without removal, or will reading as the 'wrong' type be ok or result in damage?

Normally this kind of BSI doesn't suppose to be on a Punto. That's why there is no info.
And you don't need to desolder it just 4 wires and is done ;)

4 wires, 3 bolts, 8 multiplugs, lots of plastic 'tabs' - - - - AVDI= 1 obd plug :)

To save removing BCM to see which BCM is fitted on doblo, just go into BCM on DIAG.

There it shows manufacturer. :smile:

no danger in reading wrong mask. both will read for either mask but when you enter dump into transponder programmer the wrong dump will not be recognised. I have done several stilo with AVDI and always seem to read wrong mask first lol.

thanks mate, but the doblo diesel that i did, i looked up at the fuse box and it said delphi, so i removed fuse box (expecting to see a eeprom) and bsi was a maggi!!!

That's right key point, i'm not on anybodies payroll, no hidden agenda's, not hiding like clearly & smalliron, free to speak my mind & point out discrepancies.
If pointing out those discrepencies is a hindrance to those with ulterior motives then i will continue to do it where i've done so everytime i've felt the need point it out regardles of the topic

Thats exactly what you do m8, read pin from engine ecu. Then use that pin to enter into reading BCM dump.

Abritus obviously has a problem, no key can not do it where it needs to store the key with component security ... I tried A6, A3 and Passat b6 ...

1) no need to turn (48 magamos) to (can 48 ) avdi he do this automatically when he program your 48 magamos transponder.
2) sure u choose (Audi) from menu when you try to get 7 bytes to do dealer key before programming?
3) what u mean about Waiting for update :(? u don't have license to do this job in your avdi?,or waiting some one help you in DK?

I have AVDI for 2 years now, and NEVER had any problem at all ... until last update for VW 21.0. I do all the time Audi A3, A6 ... but from last update i have a problem. I can connect with car, check in and out original key from car, but my NEW key would not ... i suposed that CS do not write ok :( I saw thay update 22.0 came out, and i hope so that will made my problem go away :(

yes Avdi can do this in a lost key

There are nine cuts on the hu66 blade as it is a electronic igition . you will find 8 on the door then cut it as a VW toureg

You must be able force igition on by jumping fuses in the drivers side . It's in the manuel for the correct ones.

then go special functions---a6/q7-- and follow instrutions (that is my minds gone blank)

Working key you need only on a6 with bcm2, 2008 has ezs so no problem to do.
Just make dealer key with cs and learn key.

ok for key be careful to ensure extra cut depth - if using A5 or later. just about cuts deep enough on perfect alignment. otherwise re-calibrate your machine !!!!!

only just enough and if i was doing a lost key i could see it adding headache. think its worth changing.

1) the system which i use in my work shop is..about Q7, first we can inset to ignition lock any used blade key from Q7 OR vw Tuareg...to prepare dealer key.with 8e sokymat transponder.
2) so about to make blade key to open & close manual the doors, we have many way (1) by remove door lock cylinder we can make a key, so not need extra cut tool, here any simple tool can cut.so from long time i use this system, but now we have many easy system for example > (turbo decoder) &&&.

Im using AVDI to program in a spare key into a hyundai I3o 2011 vin TMADB51SLCJ232400 and have been given the following codes
old- 151488
new- 859077
and a key code (which is correct)
how do i input these codes into Avdi as the old one code is not accepted and the car starts with the oringal key
the new code one which is not accept but locks me out for a hour with the key in igition

read today cgw of w211 eeprom was ok, then i choose 1st option for read flash 512kb, then i clicked on read, after 15-20 min i get message eeprom read ok.
then i saved it .bin, problem is flash is emty 0kb.

can't avdi read the flash?

Yep mate Simos PCR2.1, as you say needs unlocking by eeprom, can do that with galetto/ k-tag via 25640 eeprom

I used new ori remote key, id46, same key as micra, I got bcm code with avdi, pulled pin new and old, I tried both and even tried 1234, but avdi still went through with programming procedure but failed to add new key.

That's one i haven't done but wiki said based on Mrk5 Golf.

Just go into special functions -> Key programming -> Auto detect system


You will need to select make dealer key.
Then select key programming.

If indeed a Scirico is based on old Golf then should be really easy.


Note for Mk6 Golf its best to select Special functions menu "CAN Dash", or for older cars sometimes "K-Line dash" or "ECU"
as auto method doesn't always work. Ie. you need pin code and >04 cars the pre-coding.

Worth reading the manual especially "CAN Dash" section. I always save the eeprom (just in case!!!).
Also they say VCDS is useful to save ABS coding. Never had a problem but on my To Buy List!!!

Alot of guys here are cleverer than me saying all this. Only thing couldn't do so far is Simos PCR2.1 fitted to A3.

It's all about what ecu or dash and immo are covered by avdi or not, it's can be a little confusing if you don't know what type of part you got inside the car, but for key programming you got auto detecting and most of the time it's really work first try, if not so you need to try anther func like ecu tool

AVDI VAG is great but bought Zed Full for Fiat based cars and vans instead of AVDI Fiat

with regards to the vag package, just choose the correct vehicle, then go to cluster and open and you will see type/version etc, same with engine ecu, then you go to special functions and put in the info you are now armed with, I had trouble getting my head around how avdi operates at first, but now wouldnt be without it.

If clocks are nec then you will need to make a rig for all keys lost, i made rig 2 weeks ago and this is now an easy and very straight forward job that you can charge loads for :)

The Avdi Fiat package works well, on what it covers, a few issues with k-line ecu reset

did a fiat panda id46 yesterday and the avdi worked great, just one question , once you read the bcm and you add the key via tag programmer , how safe is it to write the data back to the bcm, so you keep key existing keys in system if not available to program at the time of programming? if lost keys I don worry I just learn new key and it wipes all old keys but im just worried about corrupting data while writing back to bcm and ending up with a non runner. how safe is it any ideas?

i have never wrote back the eeprom file, always read, create key, program by obd, it should write back ok, but as you say there is always a chance
something goes wrong and you end up in S*** Creek without a paddle.. Play it safe and ask for all keys before you start...

Yes, i have heard of the cluster jig/rig, someone told me that you need an encloser,short lengh of cluster plug, and obd cable from a mk4 golf,but not sure how it goes together!!.

ps - re vag rig: 3d group are selling them for just over ?200 with vat - I will knock up a diagram later and pm to who ever needs it, but to start off, ge down scrap yard and get an obd socket with a good length of wire, and a BLUE plug from the back of a mk4 golf clocks, and to make life easier, an ign lock from same golf with coil reader still attatched.

This is not right, many 80bit are with old incode outcode

You are wrong my freind, you can use 80 bit chip on cars the use 40 bit chip, but the cars that were originally made with the 80 bit chip must use the 80 bit chip, so if you have an original key for the car, you can read it to see what chip is inside, only if it is ori key and not been programmed in since new.

I have done 2010 mondeo, takes 2 mins with the correct incode, but you will need IDS and a good/fast code dealer for this.

I had it talking to a Clio with corrupt eeprom after flood damage

If you haven't done so go to support@abritus72.com and they will email update along with hard fix

Yes mate, I will try to video next one I do, pick and decode the door lock takes about 1 min, while A5 is cutting the blade, remove ews, takes 1 min, then plug into xprog and read, takes 30 seconds, save file and run it through EFfi to produce transponder, takes about 30 seconds, turn key blade over to cut other side, while cutting, refit ews, put transponder in the key and start the car.

Micro hooks take far too much time to attatch to an eeprom, far easier to remove and read, but they are good for reading mcu :)

Make ignition on with fuses or bridge in obd2, then choose a6/q7 autodetect from ecu, when it will show cs and pin press read eeprom from j518, make dealer key, learn key.

A question for you all, a friend of mine is doing a broken transponder chip in a remote key, on a 2008 crafter, he read the eeprom inside the edc 16 ecu, sent me dump, I sent him, the CS and pin, which he put on a chip with his tango.

He foned me saying that the esl doent turn to turn the ign on, and cant programm the key in, he is using original vcds, the question is, why cant he program the key in, is it because he is using a wrong programming device? or can avdi do this?

yes totalkey is right.

can't speak for all crafters but the 1 i did had merc style ezs. another matter is i've read if your programming with no working key (ie were lost) you may have to remove ezs module from car n talk via can bus on bench.

look at AVDI maunal - also be aware that tango/dump might be better for a lost key situation :)

I always dump and make key with tango, have heard you could do it with vcds but havent tried to do it with vcds.

The thing which confuses me , some people in here have done it with ecu dump, so , what you are saying some done from ecu dump and some with esl dump? so how can we know which system it is or choose? sorry I am on a learning curve with crafter!!.

Sorry obdsystem, I don't have tango, and in avdi manual it mentions briefly that you have to read the eeprom ecu.

Make sure your friend has added "notches" into the top and bottom of the crafter key or it will not turn.

Have a look at a crafter key to see what I'm talking about.

Short one - the service interval func - in vag as said in the manual page 72 I think. Can't find how to reset it!!!

New Ford sw works perfect,done 2013 Mondeo last week.

OBDSYSTEMS: I just upgraded my ford software & it works perfectly with a new ford focus, took 5+ hours to code a key though which it says it will take to 'crack' the BCM.. Although apparently another update which shortens this time to minutes, havent treid yet though

I have tried on a 2012 focus, took 2 mins, but since the update, everthing that requires the J1850 adapter dont work, think its being looked into.............

Yeah my dealer mentioned that. Where'd you get the key? Over here they have flip keys and I can only find the keyless kind online
