hi
upgrading from dreambox 500s
DM800hdse VS Vu+ duo dont care about what vu+duo play i care about fast OS and jumping from channels to channels .
with dm 800 hd se i cant record from channel and watch other channels ?
can dm800hd se record as MKV or play mkv ?

dm800 is good vu duo is king mate so stable and friendly but if price is a problem obv dm800

The vu duo is still cheaper and better equipped than the dm800se. stick with the best vu all the way.

No, there at images designed for vu+ solo & duo machines.....

Some dreambox images could perhaps run on vu+ boxes, but they will have some problems with the display on the box, as they are different between dreambox and vu+ and think also other hardware would make some trouble..

But use the VTI image,, it's superb,,,, And have just been released in a new version. v2.4 ..... really a great image...

You can't really compare them IMO.

The Vu+ duo has twin tuner. Which makes it a winner straight away.

You can make the DM twin tuner if you add another.. Also the VU+ comes in a solo tuner as well..

Of course you can compare them :rolleyes:

ahh i didn't realise you can add another sat tuner tuner to the dm800, will that be usb?

i only know of usb's with DVB/T tuner that works with dm800 not DVB/S as you need to use it for satellite tv....
