Seems like you may have the same problem as me and I too am waiting for replies but for what it's worth the box is fixable and if I find the fix I will post it here for you also, good luck with it.

The maufactures are aware of the problem,...jus hoping they release a fix,..as the upgrade tool doesen,t recover all boxes with "on" on the lcd.

use this tool to upgrade your Openbox S9 HD if the box appears to be dead [ Upgrade_PVR800_HD_Tool] my box is not dead but i would try this if it was
