Limited Connectivity On LAN

When trying to connect my dbox to pc the LAN is saying limited connectivity, is there any way to fix this or does anyone know what could be causing it. I am running windows vista so it is all a bit unfamiliar. Thanks.

Try disabling the firewall mate.

Make sure the network is set uo correctly ip address and gateway etc

....or try letting DHCP do it for you.
