They have not made any new DM 500 in the last few years so if it is new then it will be a clone.

I really wouldn't worry whether it is a clone or not.

Imo, Enigma1 clones are every bit as good as the real thing, and the most up-to-date Enigma1 clone models are actually superior than the original DMM boxes.

Pity we can't say the same about Enigma 2 clones, lol.

you have a clone mate.. an original board looks like this (ignore the red arrow ;))

You don't have the IBM, Intel chip or the H&V card reader

I was going to say that looks genuine to me as all clones have heatsink on the cpu

i would have thought original image on clones will give you problems or worse

sorry man but my 500s has those signs !! you simply can't see them because of the light that my camera emitted when i want to take the photo .. what do you mean by the red arrow ???? i forgot to say that the network light is green in my box and not orange as it is the case in manu boxes !! which reinforces the idea that it's originale !!don't you think so ??

the reason is that i expect to install an original recent gemini image cause there doesn't seeem to be any locks on syncs with all the other images i have tried so far ! :banghead: !!!As for the price it is less than around 30 euros because it was second hand !!

If you have tried all other images and got no lock then I doubt very much that the Gemini Image will help out.

Sounds to me like you have a hardware issue.

IMO, Gemini is bottom of the list. I'd rather shit myself at work than install a Gemini image. :)

you are right man after some measurmrets of voltage a technician confirmed it's hardware issue but i didn't appreciate that he suggests removing all the tuner instead of reparing the broken small piece inside it !! i read in some forums ( not better than ours)that it might be very small items such as C4 or sort of Q70 beside the tuner !! :egg:
