Caddy life transponder programm

Hi all
Caddy diesel life 2008 has lost the lonly key ,,, if I take its dashboard and with new transponder can I programm the transponder to the dashboard if the dashboard was away from the car ( just dashboard and transponder on my office )

When You have Tango and XprogM You can.

When You mean programming transponder with regular VAG procedure on table it is immposible, You need answer from ECU in all VAG cars immo3-up.

suppose I have a tango or the XprogM will you tell me the procedure how to do this ?
and if I havent the tango neither the XprogM can the SBB programm new key for this car ?

It is question what version Micronas is inside, when CDC3272 You dont need XprogM, only read it, put this file to program from tango, choose on what place should write key, save new file, write new file to dash. When it is CDC3217 or CDC3292 You need read it with XprogM what can be littel danger because You need make some legs from processor up for read and You can damage dash. Rest is exactly same, but You need flash + eeprom because immo area is crypted and this info how it is is stored in flash.

do you perhaps have the exact diagram on how to read the dash with micronas cdc 3297. im using clone x prog m. is it trustworhy to use the diagram supplied by x prog m clone. got dash for testing purposes. would love to master micronas dash. thanks friend.

Is the SBB has the ability to program new key for Caddy life 2008?

On xprogM is bug in manual for connection for micronas. I think SBB cant program key to this car, VCDS You can but probably You need precoded transponder.

it is a key that has 7 security bytes programmed into the transponder according to the vin number of the car. it usually gets done at the factory. (dealer key) it can be done self, but you need to extract the bytes from ecu or cluster or else. after that it needs to be programmed into the transponder. now you have a key semilar to dealer key. the key needs to be programmed to the vehicle immo system. need expensive equipment to do this. to my understanding vcds can only do the early immo4 systems for vag cars. correct me if im wrong someone. thanks

as one member were saying before, immo3 and up nedd signal from ecu. i think without that is is mission impossible. as far as i know caddy in south africa has immo4 c system. (c standing for crypto) if a unauthorised key is entered into the ignition SAFE will be displayed on the cluster. the straight immo4 is very similar to the immo3 system. vcds "i think support only immo4 systems and not immo4 c". i have read it somewhere. cant remember where. cheers.

you will not be able to code keys with the cluster alone. personally i havent delt with this specific vehicle before, when it comes to key coding. theoretically speaking i know abit about the system. practically i havent got personal experience on this car. maybe some other kind members can explain to you. there is many tools for vag cars. do some searching on this forum friend.
