This Volvo V50 1.6 HDI PSA engine has FAP problems, tried to remove FAP with ECUSAFE 1.9.3.0, by EDC16 PSA Module and EDC16 Volvo Module.

FAP now seems to be ok (removed), i managed to run with diferential sensor unplugged and no DTC, before i remove it went to safe mode and "Drilled FAP" DTC and no more then 100~120km/h.

BUT NOW, when 135~140km/h are aquired, ESP/ABS light is on, and after that can?t do more 140 Km/h, unless i turn off/turn on ignition even whith car running.

If i stop and aquire 135~140km/h ESP light is on again and after that can?t do more 140 Km/h again.

After ESP/ABS light on, no DTC's are stored on engine ECU, but ESP/ABS ECU got some DTC like "anti-skid system non passive with engine ECU".

I really don?t know if the ESP/ABS problem is related with removing FAP, because before, with FAP activated, the car enters safe and can?t run at 135~140km/h mode.

Could someone please check BDM flashs files and see if there's some error causing ABS/ESP problem? Or remove FAP manually?

Thanks

Did you solve the problem?
I also have a problem with a S40 with the same engine, the ADM (aditive dosing module) is broken and the DPF is blocked.

If you have DPF blocked, you have always to clean it, even if you are going to disable it.

The problem about ESP was really in ESP not engine OK, but also DPF is disabled OK

adm blocked if you have less than 3 / 15 aditive volume of the tank.or
the oil is too high, two signals must be below the maximum.
S40 has a recall of the new software engine ecu
sorry google translator

Luigii you are right, the additive level was 1/15 and the level sensor was on low level. I manage to reset the level sensor after refilling with additive and everything was ok .
After that i "deleted" the DPF and then I replaced the DPF with an pipe .

I have exactly the same problem as described by sl4ck. DPF removed and reprogrammed ecu with dpf off. At the beginning, sometimes > 140km/h into safe mode. Now it immediately gives the anti skid message and when I read the ecu there is no fault code, but when I read the ecu the fault code 0101 is present, which is about no communication with the ecu. In this thread it is first mentions there is a ecu issue, but later on it seemed to be the esp? Any suggestions?

Was the ABS module replaced or updated?
