Hi,
I have flashed a 1 chip dbox with a 2x image and the box won't boot but the lcd lights up but nothing else. Can someone give me advice on how to fix this problem I have tried a null modem flash but gets to the end to cp.1 120000 10020000 1F8000 enter this and get this => and nothing happens. Does someone know how to get the box up and running again.

Thanks

Re-flash using Image Flash assistant . if you used the X2 image use the X1 image instead.

IFA is available here

Digital Kaos - Downloads - Image Flash Assistant (IFA) v3.0 RC2 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/others/7/image-flash-assistant-ifa-v3-0-rc2-4/)

It is best if you have a null modem cable when using IFA because you can see what is going on. It can be done with just a crossover cable, although it really comes down to timing and when you turn the dbox on, it may take you quite a few attempts ( it's not unusual to be around 50 times or even more!) but it does work. If you have a null modem cable then it will be an easier job.

IFA is pretty simple to use, just follow the instructions on the screen.

Good luck with it! :)

P.S. try sourcing your image from the chatterbox toolbar :D

I had this problem before and used IFA, worked like a dream! Use it all the time to put new images on now :)

if you have problems use the ifa 1.56, its very old but does the trick, it gets through anything, i did the same last night with my dbox ,put the wrong image on, (THE KLEIN SYSTEM), could not do anything with it. it boots up a little different. but installs the image. i used a cross over. i do not know if works with a nul modem. dont worry help is out there.:barscarf:

I did this with my box and found the only way to recover the box was to flash a x1 image using the null modem cable method,it takes an hour or so but works a treat
