hello all
this is an updated channel list for the openbox s9
its set up the same as sky uk with bbc 1 at 101 and so on up to channel 700.
also the sky sports channels 401-405 are the hd ones.
there may be a few dead channels but most are correct.
1-3-2011.

cant find any asian channels on their is thier how can i add these on please.

press menu then the top selection is edit channels.
go in there and then press tv channel list.
on the next screen press yellow and the tab at the top will move up a little bit.
now press ok on the channel you want to move and that channel will move with you as you go up and down the channel list.
if you want to move through a hole block of channels use the pg- and pg+ buttons it skips 10 channels at a time.
when your on the channel number you want press ok again and it stays there.
when you have finished and exit the menu it gives you the option to save the list just press on yes.

feel free to re-post the list as i just haven't got the time at the mo to sort past channel 700.
for a full sky channel list i use wildpete's wildsat.com site he keeps it updated and has been a great help.

hello kev what problems are you having. I'm running that same firmware and it seems fine on the 2 boxes i've got.
The fav's are a bit all over the place but i haven't sorted them its mainly just the sat list.

I have groups of channels like all sports channels in sports group. I want to move some channels one group to other group. but i don't know how. is any one help me.

I can move channels in same group up and down but can't move to group to group.

thats right mate the same order as sky have them upto channel 700. There may be some dead channels because sky are always moving channels around. The favs need sorting out too. And the asian channels need putting in order. Feel free to edit the list and repost it to keep it up to date anyone.

Ive not actually done it but i dont see why not

Create a channel with pvr800 call it what ever you like then move it to the begining of the list obviously you will have to do this 100 timed

theres an "insert channel" option but its greyed out so can't be used.

Its greyed out because your trying to add it into the wrong section, im sure it can only be added into the main satelite list then move it into the group of your choice

Put the channel dump file on to a formatted fat32 usb stick, insert into box,
Go to MENU > TOOLS >Upgrade BY USB
Point to MISC Files then arrow down to SELECT & Upgrade and press OK,
Press green button to add TP_PROG.dbs

Press yellow button to copy the file ,

ok guys just a few minor changes film24 removed as no longer broadcasting
sony entertainment and +1 added to all popular channels and entertainment.

please make sure that you remove previous channels before adding these.
also although the rebooting channels have been removed from the above favourites, they are still present in the all satellite & k eurobird listings

You should load a channel list that has been organised already. Its much easier rather than scanning and organising yourself.Theres a new one here done by Dumbo http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f184/sky-channel-list-fav-asian-14-04-11-a-201135/ fair play to him.

Theres plenty good servers around but make sure you ask for a test cline before any money changes hands and don't hand over more than 3 months ???? as some servers are taken down not by choice

Firstl before you do a reflash you must reset you box to factory defaults from within the menu.

Yes scan the sat to pick up the channels the upload we put up for you will just reorganise them.

To make things easier for you if someone could upload a dump file, i can do it tonight for you but hopefully someone may do it sooner

So do it in this order

Reset to factory
Upload firmware
Scan satelite
Upload tp progs

This works perfect every time so you shouldn't have problems

The tp progs file should have the file ext .DBS if not then you need to change it

Make sure there is nothing else on the USB key, just the tp-prog file. Maybe you are selecting the wrong file

If you are using a payserver, many of them are overloaded, so this will cause glitching. Also if you are downloading anything while viewing this can also cause glitching

Bouquets don't go anywhere, you upload the tp progs file and it goes where it needs to go, you don't have to choose where to put it, once uploaded turn your box off 20 seconds then back on.. That's it done

When you watch a channel press the middle button the remote and your list "favourites" will show on screen, then either move left or right to see different programe groups

didn't work for me on my s10 with the latest firmware its got the catagories music sport movies etc but all the channels are cocked up most of them are just numbers no names etc

Quick google and i found this
How to manually add a TP to your OpenBox (easy)
This one is very simple to do, anyone can do it.
2 ways you can start:

1. Move the dish to the satellite you want to add a TP to.

-or-

2. Just go to the tp list and flip thru the satellites. OpenBox will automatically move the dish as you change satellites.

-----------------------------------------
Either way here is the proceedure when you are on the sat you want to add to.

1. MENU > INSTALLATION > TP List.

2. Look and make sure you are on the correct satellite. If not use the < and > arrows to flip thru. If you were already on the satellite it should be the one selected alreadyu.

3. Press green button to add.

4. Type in the frequency, then arrow down to symbol rate

5. type in the symbol rate, arrow down to polarity. Use < or > arrows to change polarity.

6. Arrow down to save, press OK button

To scan the TP:

1. Press blue button on remote for Search
2. Either press ok and it will search, or set the options if you want such as FTA only, TV/Radio and Network search. I just hit the ok button as the defaults are what I want with a manual TP scan.

bbc one and bbc hd

My USB stck that I use is fat32. You should get a thing popping up on screen when you insert your USB stick in the box. Well I do on my s9 ,I'd say it's same with s10

Yes, a usb inserted message does appears.
i did a firmware update with it.
aso i have done the usb dump & usb upgrade which it says is ok.
it even reboots itself sometimes... but the channel numbers are always 1 to 0742, sometimes all the channels are deleted.

This is my channel list for uk, this was after I put on the May firmware HDS2_CMTS_Europe the one you had to make sure box original and not a clone.

So you may have to delete that channel once put on, If I go to me sis IL put on usb so its without problem channel or you should be able to edit it with an editor before putting on. Its channel 27 in the sports favourites.

If anyone uses it just let me know what you think.

0100 does not mean its a clone its the digits after, how did you check for it. Did you do a visual check as well see what color card reader its got.

You have to put the newer firmware and then press the digits either 777777 or 8888 cant remember exactly and then will show you 2nd part what you need.

Also there is clone check firmware as well. Have a look round the forum, Il see if I can find it as well.

As pointed out by celticnthell you ave to reboot 10 times BUT once you find out if its a clone and you put your saved dump or older firmware then afaik no harm done. From what Ive read that seems to be the case, Im sure one of the more knowledgable guys can confirm if this is the case.

So personally might be worth taking risk just to find out so you know for sure for future upgrades.

Hi guys, bit of a noob here lol.

Anyways, i have an openbox s9 hd, don't know if it's a clone and don't know what firmware etc...

All i wanted to do is have the channel list set up like the standard Sly tv guide, all up to date, including the sky box office movies and sports (like yesterdays boxing match) all working and ready to go.
As i said, i'm a noob so any help would be greatly appreciated and i am sorry if i've repeated something that's already been answered before.

yep, just delete the duplicates and the ones you dont want. Go into your programmes favs list and the blue button is the delete.

I installed this on my new s10 and lost everything.

This immediately took off all satellite names and gave me (sat 1/9,
2/9, 3/9, 4/9, 5/9, 6/9, 7/9, 8/9, & 9/9)

I updated my flash "OPENBOX_S9_HDS2_EuropeVer.abs
"
which returned the satellite names, selected 28.2 and scanned. now I get absolutely nothing.

Tried these other 2 as well, all give the same result now.
SKYBOX_S10_CTM.abs
openbox_S10_CTM.abs

Now I simply get nothing

there may be a few dead channels but most are correct.

This is the same list but i removed the foreign & advertising channels, added a few more in music favs, and organised other favs into some sort of order. (you might want to rename the fav channels but you can do that on the box once installed)

Failing that; download the channel editor and arrange them yourself.. you can make up your own favourite list, as i did. Not everyones taste is the same

There is NO WAY to do what you are asking for on an S9.

It takes a lot of time to create the listings, try it for yourself.
The external editor is a complete waste of time in my opinion, and the one on the box is only slightly better

openbox S10 dump with latest channel list. 13 Favourite groups. if you cant see adult group, Do a factory reset and it will show. Dont worry, you wont lose anything. If it asks for pin, its 0000 or 3313.

Does your openbox freezes when you try to power off with remote or does it not show anything on screen while in standyby.Here is the simple way to reset .
Got to menu, tools and informationm Once in information press red then green then yellow then blue and lastly press number 8.
As soon as you press number 8 press power off on the remote. the box should power off with the time showing on front disply. If it doesnt work, Try again. It will work.
