Hi Guys,

I have the following car here:

Renault Twingo 1.2 manufactured in: 2000.03

Sagem Safir ECU, RF keys, 18pin TRF-TRANS CAR immo box

The immo light is blinking rapidly when the ignition is on, and I would need a solution to make the car go again.

Bosch KTS reads out the following error code from the immo unit:

16 - communication between immo unit and receiver ring

46 - communication between immo unit and receiver ring

I've the key code card here, I've found 3 solutions to enter the key code to temporary start the car - one with the button on the wiper switch, one with gas pedal, and other with a diagnostic tool, but it did not respond to any of these!

What could be the problem?

How can I disable the immo on this car?

Regards,

Tibor Polacsek

Copy the key to the chip t5 so that you press the Coil on-board key

Go to a locksmith and he'll know that you do

so you say the problem is that coil shaped transponder in the original Renault key?
and programming up a new transponder should cure my problem?

To be honest I don't really care about working immo, I just want to start the car!

I've read somewhere that you have to connect a pin of the ECU to GND and after that you can start the car!

Please let me know how can I disable this immo!

Thanks!

it's this ECU - Sagem Safir 2 35pin:

EPROM is: 27c512

What is the correct method to immo off?

I've found this on DK:

1.pin 37 - cut from ecu
2.conect ecu to car
3.ignition on
4.in 27c512 memory pin 22 circuit a few to tens times to ground
5.immo removed

BUT this ECU only has 35 pins, so I guess it's a typo!

Please someone write down what should I do and in what order!

if ecu have 35 pins cut pin 30, but you circuit 22 pin in 27c512 or 28f512 memory, no in ecu pin!!!

look at the ECU connector - there should be two reall small numbers on each end, representing the first and the last pin (on each line)

if not, let me know and I'll post here a screenshot from Autodata! ;)

hello
In the doc (Du skal lodde en ledning p? pin 22 p? EPROM 27C512 eller pin 23 hvis EPROMEN er 28F512)
You must connect pin 23 for 27C512 and pin 22 For 28F512
Thanks
