Jeep EDC15C2 virginizing

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2,7 CRD with a dead engine Bosch EDC15c2. I have found a spare ECU.
Can someone tell me what I have to do to use the second engine?
Can I renew it like Mercedes EDC-15?
