x431 Diagun - No connection

Any other that have conection problem with smartbox ?

Working on volvo xc70 2006 (after restart and with cabel)

Worked 1 time on Mitsubishi Lancer 1999 now Not
Not with Mercedes CLK230comp Cab 1999 with adapter
Not on Opel Astra 2005
Not on Skoda Pickup 2001

No clicking noise from smartbox.
Diagun is trying to comunicate with smartbox with no result not showing smartboxversion and serial.

Please use cable don't bluetooth to try again,I assume your buletooth may break down.

Ok, only tryied once with bluetooth, and always use cabel, specially when having comunicationproblems.

So removed cabel and tested again with bluetooth and same shit NO communication with smartbox :(

I dident got any fuses i dubbelchecked.
Is it only for powersupply ?

I have the latest software if compare with carcompability list and newer, (ok, shoud compare with software download).

I start to think its "Memory software related" issue.
even want to try little older software.

Got this ERROR message when going from suspend mode to ON.

Reset button?
Light lamp in bluetooth and power button in Diagun when cable connect ? See fuse F1 and F2 in bluetooth (from 16 pin OBD ).Also Ziner diode Z1,Z2....

With cabel: 1 Red other off on smartbox.
Powerbutton on diagun, green light.

When not working same lights and beside Red light a blue starts flashing (communicating) results with "check connection on smartbox"

When working, blue one is also flash strong Red.

Working fine on 3 different cars today.

When Diagun handhshake with smartbox everything seems to be fine.

Seller will send me newest software (English, Russian version) maybe are more stabel.

Did not try to Reset with small hole on backside, Is it safe ? Nothing gets deleted ?

Have to ask seller if i can brake sealing and checking fuses, bad soldering, diods and connection. 2 years warranty and dont want to send it in firstplace.


I was a TV.repairman in erlier day so it will be easy to check diods.

1.If you have warranty- don't open bluetooth.
2.Soft reset-Reset button-safe.Launch recommended made
reset every week.Hard reset-(power+reset) -restore registry.

2. Wait for new software and new memory
3. Look for bad soldering (if they accept it).
4. Send it to China

Sealing was already break in diagun by screwdriver, Not in smart box (or new sealing).


Ps. Its hard to not like this tool, i love it when it works. This time bad luck !

Tryed Reset on my Astra-H 05 with software V36.10

1. without reset - no connection
2. with soft reset - no connection
3.1 Hard reset with windows on - no connection
3.2 Hard reset with windows off - Got connection :)
4. Turn off everything and retry - NO connection :(
5. Also tryed older software V35.02
5. Tryed other combo left hook and uppercut - NO :)

Its like lucky shoot when it works, specially on this car.
How can you confirm that you manage to Hard reset ?
Windows dont tell me anything.

3.Connect Diagun to PC with ActiveSync(only win XP)
4.If connect OK-you bluetooth bad.
5.Made copy registry.

New memory, Transcend 2gig micro SD (coudent find smaller).

Test on same Astra-H

1. BOOM, worked directly- recorded some engine parameters and bla.bla,,, :)

And thats all - No more after disconnect and retry.
7 atemps diffrent ways and paus. :(((

Next check, wait if Car ECU needs go to sleepmode.



Think i will look for NEW supplyer, NO tips and tricks att all yet ! Maybe reading here and waiting for No Warranty anymore ?

From delivery it dident work change in carsoft to swedish menu). OS work to Swedish.

Will try again and notice difference in .ini.

What does numbers before Carbrand mean in sort.in ?
Its counting upwards in offen use car.
Its NOT procent and exactly how many times connected.

I thought i was closer to understand, every time i change card it start to work. And number changed in sort.ini. same shit right now.
Other .ini dident change.


Yours 2.Copy " big " file ? do you mean GAG-map or ?
I used drag and drop copy from USBadapter to PC : PC to USBadapter, not diagun connected to pc.
Onley then checking .ini files i look straight throu in diagun.

System seems ok on surface, no problem connect to computer with usb.

Will compare with othe persons Diagun on monday or tuesday and on same cars , that will proof its NOT Launch original carcompability issue.

Seller dont whant to understand this (Tecnincan on hollyday, right ) well, hav 10 more days before dispute.

I think problem in bluetooth module.Sending wiht DHL very expensive, send regular mail.
Write on the premise that the return on the guarantee.
Copy the card,did not send me back .Send only the device without packaging - it's easier and guarantee that send return . Good luck, Sergey.

@obd.tech - will absolutley share about this supplyer after i press "dispute" button.

@sergej - also thinking if they can make good machine at all,if not then its better to send back complete all. It is DOA - direct on arrival issue.

Other member did also have problem with them.

Have tested compare with other Diagun on same cars.
The other one is working with all tested cars and mine work with 1 of them.
Check smartbox is working with my Diagun on his smartbox.
Other Diagun cant connect to mine smartbox, just same issue.

Think you had right on this one sergej, i just confirm it.



Other good one from seller: Its working only with cars from 2000 and foreward.
And i asking him why there is a box with 30 connections for older cars then ?
