Personally I will go for the CarDaq from drewtech after reading all the reviews and their customer support is very good.

After much research I was going to buy the CarDAQ-Plus. But, since I only do Volvo?s I bought DiCE which was cheaper.
Let us know how it works! From the feedback I have gotten it works fine with VIDA?

Snap-on is a cardaq...they originally used Actia units..then switched to Cardaq. Iflash has certain abilities also, Really, it depends on what you want to use it for primarily. Cardaq is very good. I use an actia.
The Snap-On units have diffrent firmware in them and dont /cant connect to sites that Cardaq does.

Actia works with everbody, CarDAQ is second. It's depends on the car brand(s) that you want to work with

BUY Drew. OEM's use it not the Snap-On. I don't think actia will connect to drew's j2534 toolbox.
I had to call drew Thurs for support on Snap-on b/c they couldn't trouble shoot.
Look at the SAE docs and you will see Mike Drew is top of list on J2534 committee. That's gotta tell you something.

It`s the snap-on software that makes the difference. Early Actia box sold by snap-on would not work on some stuff because snap-on wrote the software. WHen they had trouble, they switcheed to Drewtech(cardaq) and are still having trouble with there software. Actia soft and Drewtech soft works well. Try to program some asian controller with snappy..no workie..then plug a drewtech and it flies on in..I think snappy is ?sing"these oe`s to develope there own device...time will tell. Remember what Snappy did to Sun Electric? They make good wrenches and will warranity them..with UPDATED design..so be careful m8`s..
