hi i have a great problem ,
I make a european conversion light on 2 american chevrolet camaro new , ( 0KM )
On first , i change the light rears , and front , this car have a singular sistem for calculate resistance for light , one bulb with two filaments make all fuction , brake , turn light , light position ..and this on paralel for other bulb, and 27W consumition for filament (54W for chanel light and 2 via for right rear and two via left rear ) and dont have a fog light rear
I modifiqued the exited one transistor for bulb on pcb ( power control body ) this controler asignated bulb , and i change the exited for the front on rear (eliminated exitation) ...all ok work perfect
clone the signal from the light for turn , for the front light and eliminated rear light ( oculted into rear bump )
the first car , 100% work and one year no problem
my problem , when i make the second and the experiment solved and consolidate on the first car , I proced to change the second car sistem and I solded .. but one accident one great friend move to me when i solded and contact another pin of the micro from my solder ..and ecu crashhhhhh

I buy a new ecu on miami ...i pay from my money because its my response ( only 550 $ and shiping 50$ ...3 weeks .... walk on the sea )
when I instaled , , inmo , radio, locks , abs, and tacho , no work , those no code , the ecu its virgin
I go to chevrolet dealer ... and they say to me no work on this car , ONLY EUROPEAN CHEvROLET CAR and when the americans model . its only they work on this when the car buy on european dealer :stupid:

I know a garaje friend and this code for inmo and abs ,airbag
but no radio , no tacho ( on km -----) no remote locks ,
he say to me only have a tech2 diagnosis , and only work on this sistem ( inmo )
have a other dianossi sistem for new chevrolet but nothing eles dealers on spain have it
any help
i look on ship into to the camaro way to usa :(

i think it fault programed the code vin in pcb ( power control body = bsi ) to cheked the radio and tacho , but i dont know ...any idea
on pcb
have a eprom

and microprocesor NEC D70F3385ZM2(a1)

the ecu is
gm13500385 bosch F00H J00 497

I swap the eprom ..but no change

I have with this problem ..from june 2010 , and waiting response for chevrolet europe ..... they say to me . on 2011 we sale camaro on europe and from this moment we are diagnosis for this car , but ..today not sale this car on europe

When you install a new body controller on this vehicle it need to be program with the GM SPS system so the correct calibration is flash in the ecu to fit the vehicle option like engine model, transmission,a/c system and so on. the eeprom retains other info like VIN , immo , odometer and and value that could be change by driver or personalization.

So is the new body controller was programmed by GM SPS system ?

That programming process read value (engine, a/c/, etc) from the old body controller then is transfer to the new one.

If the old body controller if not available then all the system need to configure manually again with GM SPS system , immo, anti theft, remote key and more.

When a GM dealer is telling you they can't work on this car it's true and wrong. They wont work on it under warranty of course but the GM SPS system is the same worldwide and the vehicle need to be connected to the dealer computer using a MDI box but this will work only on a new virgin body controller. If you keep a dump of the memory when new you might be ok. In fact if the dealer can do 2010 Opel Insignia they can do the 2010 Camaro .

Good old hi-speed CAN on a US vehicle. US folks can't get it right and everyone else has been rolling along for a while...

Second that, if it's american, lots of hard tough black plastic, self tapping screws with big heads and lots of 'exploding' rivits everywhere

like french, you know what you want to do, you can see both ends, but that's it.
