guitar hero or rock band?

Im nevets (steve) and a nwbie

I am thinking about getting one of these band kits (guitar, drums, mik) for my two little girls for xmas, but whats the differance between them, besides songs and which one is the best?

IS it:

rock band for the wii

or guitar heros for wii

Hi m8 I'm sure rock band you need all the stuff, ie guitars drums etc, whereas guitar hero you can either use the wii remote or use the guitars.

I have seen both complete kits for sale at game both ?150 but dont know which one is the better, hence looking to see who has one and what do they think?
