MB Star C3 can't connect with car

i have a problem with my MB Star C3 mux, i can't connect it to my pc, i have an error when i try to connect to a car

when i do a Ceasar Autodiagnostic with StarUtils, it say

ERROR: No Devie Selected

how can i configure my mux with starutilis ?

we try with another mux C3 and always the same error, i trying my mux on another Laptop a IBM T30 and it's the same error....

what is the problem ? the mux ? the configuration of the star ?

Can you clarify, you have two multiplexers and two computers and no combination with those works? Has any of these worked previously?

What are your COM port settings? Are you using a laptop with a serial port or an adapter?

it's a laptop with a serial port adapter to usb...

i have another laptop with another mux: a T30 with it mux and it work great, when i try my mux on it, they don't reconize it so i thought it was a problem with my new mux not a problem with my serial port ?

Its not working with USB serial converter.
Both mux are same?Or they use diffrents cable rs232
