Hello Guy's please can anyone advising me to solve a problem with Jaguar XJ6 4.0 MY 1995
The problem is the engine doesn't cranking, it is starting and working if I use external cable to supply power to starter motor
The car didn't have Immoblisier
there are some functions didn't work like the head light, turn signal light,Hazard warning and radio caset. the center lock by remote only unlocking and doesn't locking
there are a control module under the clove box it is name BPM (( body process module )) I replace it also the same problem when I disassemble the connectors of this module the center lock working fine unlock and lock by remote
by the way there are no recorded DTC in engine control the other control unit I can't diagnosis it.

Hi
Have you checked the starter relay and its fuse :questionmark:........Also the Ignition Switch it self can also be faulty so, worth checking all this things first before you start replacing other parts.......

Thank you for replay mate yes I have checked the inhibitor switch it is working well.
my friend please I want draw your attention about something
the start signal come from ignition switch to BPM go to inhibitor switch flow to starter relay and starter motor
the start signal is broken when is input to the BPM
but as I told you I replace this module and also the same problem, is there are any other module give a signal to BPM to motivating this module to work
the vehicle step inside something like locked mode or come in sleep mode I know this car is not modern enough to have such this function but maybe is have
my problem is not only in starting as I told you many functions didn't work

Thanks for replay mate
does the jag you working on have ? have what ...?
I'm not sure what is the engine code but the engine is L6 4.0 not super charger
I'm sure my problem is one of this
1- BPM but I replace this module and still have the same problem ( this is programmable module ) maybe this control must be programming with specific parameters ....?
2- center lock module
by the way when I disconnect the BPM connectors the center lock work fine by the two way dashboard button and the remote control
but all the other function didn't work head light, radio, turn signal light, hazard warning and there are a message on the air condition screen ( Er ) also when I switch ignition on there are warning buzzer start for five time
this wasn't happen before this problem
